First Grow, advice needed

This is my first grow and although I've read loads of good stuff here I'm still unsure of somethings so would appreciate any advice you can offer.

I successfully germed my seeds and planted them in jiffy plugs. They've been in a heated propergator for a couple of days and started to sprout so I'm putting the light on for 24/0, do I leave them in the propergator at this stage or should I take them out??

Cheers

Need pictures, measurements, something. No idea what you've got going brother.
Sorry mate, no pics at the moment.

Basically I got 5 seeds in jiffy plugs, they have just started to sprout using the heated propergator. They are under a 400w ml light which I have just switched on. Wanted to know if I leave them in the propergator? until the roots show through the jiffy plug?

When they are ready for the veg stage they will go in a grow tent (75cmx75cmx100). Growing medium is Canna Pro Plus soild.

To flower they will be moved to a bigger tent (6ft tall) with 600w hps light.

Yeah, transplant the grow plugs once you see roots in the sides and bottom. Sounds like you have a pretty solid setup going, I'd stick with it. My only question is are your seeds feminized? If they're normal, out of 5 seeds, expect one weakling runt (either sex) 2 males, 2 females. 600 watts for 2 females and a possible runt is way overkill. Until you know you have a strong female to clone from, 60% more plants than you want to end up flowering to completion.

Thannks mate

All 5 seeds were bought as feminized so hopefully they are! Waiting for another 10 to arrive. Should be anyday now...

If you switched your light on, you should probably take them out of the propagator, might get too hot or cook 'em if you leave them in. If they are under a 400w MH light, make sure to keep it at least a couple feet above the babies, maybe farther if they show stress. Good luck!:peace:

Thanks, should I get a lower wattage bulb for this stage? Maybe a 250?

They're looking a bit streched

Honestly even that much isn't needed, I start mine out with a fluorescent tube, and CFL's would work too - the tube you can keep almost on top of 'em so they don't stretch, for the first week or so until they can handle the big light. I got mine from Lowes - cost 9 bucks - and it is cool enough that the babies can touch it and not get burned.:peace:

Ok the sprouts were growing nicely but this morning they have started to droop a bit. One of them completely on its side.
Is this them screaming out for more water or have I done something else wrong?

Cheers

They have livened up now but growing has really slowed down. And there is still no sign of roots coming out the sides of the jiffy plugs.

I have a feeling I'm doing something wriong but it could just be I need to give them more time. They have been going 8 days, how long should I give it before I get worried about the apparent lack of root?

Cheers

Could only manage the one pic, but this is one of them at 9 days old. Opinions please...
thats a good looking baby .just dont water them so much , water makes them droopy if you give them to much.pick up the cup that they are in right after a watering and feel the wieght , give it 2 or 3 days if it is lighter than it was by a lot give it some more .when i started i watered every day trying not to kill them and what do ya know , they started getttin droopy.some like to poke the soil with there finger to see how moist it is , i prefer to check bt weight. hope that helps:peace:

Cheers mate.

Its the watering schedule I'm most worried about. I'll try the method you have suggested and see how I get on. Will post more pics in a few days
