Help a girl out with her first grow, Please help getting desperate :(

water is hard water with pH of 8. TBh they havent stopped growing quite the opposite i see a difference every day just the concentrated leaf bunching is the issue being lime green the rest of the plant is normal colour, no yellowing at all apart from where i foolishly sprayed the leaves and they burnt a little from the light. this lime green is very recent like a few days so u can see the growth that has be made since, only that its this lime green coulour and distorted, so i musn't have being too bad before this started, the pistols are showing so i figured they were becoming deficient because of the flowering cycle. This is pretty difficult to pinpoint an answer from the posts so far do i flush, do i not, do i lay off the nutes or give molasses. i also gave em epsom salts last night to try and remedy some probs. ill lay off the nutes then and get some molasses, wat to do about my pH in soil can i not grow between 6-7 effectively because no matter wat i try it stays at this

Hard water can lock out your micro nutes. Also, they high ph will do the same.

There are Reverse Osmosis units on ebay for under $70.00. What would eliminate one possible issue.

A TDS tester is such a good thing to have. Spend the $20.00. Once again it will give you anwers not problems.

shall i buy bottled water, just worried about the chlorine in it as i let my water sit for at least 24-36 hrs

stop putting so much shit in that soil... it's a fucking plant, not a 6 month old premature baby...

make sure the PH is ok, try to get some water as close to neutral as possible (I use vinegar stop the lemon juice{who knows, might be that})),

put water in, and measure the PH of the water that drains out the bottom... work from there...

if it's too alkaline, start ph'ing your water adequately and make sure your nute mix is adequately ph-ed too... the soil will readjust in a few days....

i don't think you should put molasses in until the 2nd month of 12/12... that's just my opinion....

anyways why the hell would you want to put more shit in that soil?? kinda seems like a superfund site to me... hehe

p.s. DO NOT USE BOTTLED WATER, WASTING MONEY. if you drink straight from the tap, it's good for the plants, unless you use hydro or aeroponics.... that's what i've heard anyways....

u can always buy 5 gallon jugs and fill them for a dollar at your local water store...

If you start wou with 200 ppm and nutes your reading will never be right. Also, some of the stuff in city water seems to buffer attempts to adjust ph.

Yes, many growers use tap water, but more use R.O. or distilled.

How about this. Buy a couple gallons of Distilled and cut your tap wate with that. Don't buy mineral water.. Or fancy branded water. Just cheap old distilled or R.O.

And, once again I am not trying to step on anyones toes, but if you know you have "bad" water (High ppm and PH, then it would not hurt to improve it.

Yeah try distilled and see what happens. If ph adjusted or distilled water still doesn't help I'd consider flushing which would let you start out on a clean slate.

Plants were all healthy looking until i switched em, and ye lemon juice lol, someone said it was a good home remedy as my tap water sits at 8 so i needed to down the pH and figured i'd try to be all organic ( perhaps i was wrong to, but it was suggested) says to give anywhere between 1-6 mls of each nute so i plumped ( wat i thought) on the lean side) so 2 mls grow, 3 mls algamix and 2-3 mls of bloom. the plants are pretty big at 70cm so i thought overferting wouldn't be an issue.

Is it that the nutes havent got enough of the micro nutrients suggested? would anything in addition help my case, i heard molasses is this true if so any further info on wat type and where to get em from etc lol, yes i am a newb

I had this exact problem, I am also on my first indoor grow. lock out due to low ph. Although I was vegging when it happened plants looked the same. Don't worry they came out of it.

First thing is since you are using tap water is it city or well? City water needs to sit for 24 hrs before you use it, it oxidizes letting chlorine evaporate out. If it's well and has a water softener it has a high salt content. If it's well and smells like egg shells it's sulpur bicarb and possibly high in iron. I oxidize the latter of the three.

My problem occured because I wasn't checkin the ph after I added nutes which dropped the ph to 5.5. After having my problem diagnosed I flushed with distilled water (didn't have enough oxidized on hand). Then I let them be for three 1/2 days. I got a digital ph meter and now water at 6.5. Didn't add nutes for 9 days. It's been two weeks and they look good and healthy, I can stil see some signs of what they went through, but not much.

i'm with you on that one... RO water would be perfect for her, especially since she's having problems... i just read her putting all sorts of shit in that soil and i could'nt help but think: and you plan to smoke that shit??

i'll admit i use cheap chemical fertilizers, tap water, use vinegar to adjust the ph, and grandmas molasses.... but i am about a 2-3 weeks from harvest and already cut the feeding and only giving it molasses... no crazy shit in my smoke....

never would've put anything else in that soil... no kind of "micro-nute" thing...

i have a friend that has a degree in agronomy (science of farming, he helps run a 1000 acre farm with rotating crops year round, he knows his shit) and he tells me most problems with plants in soil come from ph being off, happens a lot indoors... when it's hydro or aero it's different....

but for soil, adjusting ph levels will solve a lot of problems. even if you use cheap ass ferts....

if you use higher end ferts you get better results, he explained why but i was too stoned to understand....

but like I always say: "it ain't the bow or the arrow, it's the injun".....

Water will only be "oxidized" by air pump/air stones or Hydrogen Peroxide. You let the water sit out to "Out-Gas". That is where chlorine in solution is lost to the air. 24 hours will do it, but if you are in a rush you can cut that time drasticly by running air stones in your water. The chlorine in the water is carried away in the bubbles.

Just make sure you do as they stated and adjust your ph after you add nutes.

Definitely look like a pH problem. You might want to try something like cider vinegar, as the citric acid in lemons will only lower the pH temporarily. You can do an overnight test.

I'm also using the BioBizz line, and recommend you use BioHeaven for extra micronutrients. And don't overdo it with the Alg-a-Mic. It tends to make the soil mushier and less porous.
