im in the process of setting up my first grow room.. 8X8 area 400w MH/HPS if i need a few pointers ill deff hit u up.

I would generally recommend at least one more 400w for your grow area. One 400w per approx. 2 square meters is about half of the recommended lighting for optimum bud production.

would i still need a CO2 if I am in my small grow room smokin all day? lol I believe it helps it but who knows right? it's just one of my myths that me exhaling on my leaves makes it more potant

Actually any kind of smoke around the plants agitates them and generally is not recommended at all. You can, however, talk to your plants, which will generate smoke free co2.
What you will have to worry about is ventilation, though.

400w should do that trick for SOG... i want as much as fast as possible.. i do have a 250watt MH layin around i can throw in...if need be.

these hid light lose intensity very fast.
i use this formula
400 watt 3x3 max height 1.5 feet
600 watt 4x4 max height 2.5 feet
1000 watt 5x5 max height 3.5 feet
smaller light will lose intensity very rapidly

co2 helps produce more energy by increasing plant respriation
a tank and regulator is 200-350 depending on where you get them
off ebay a tank runs 60-75 and a regulator is 60 -150 so you can save alot.

Damn dude i wish i knew as much as you right now, i will someday though. I want to dedicate my life to the art as you have, hoping to someday find myself living in the Netherlands. I can imagine the day i open my eyes and view a sea of green, and the perks of never running out. I have a question about how you keep your plants short and bushy ? Anyways you can't even imagine how much help this thread has brought me. Keep the updates coming man, i'm just waiting to see how things turn out for you.

things turn out based on what you put in. right now my gardens are experencing large scale change. i have been putting in very little time so my plants suffer. i will tune you guys and girls back in very very soon !
