Protect your pets - dealing with cannabis toxicity

To the screamer saying there is nothing dangerous in weed, you might want to look up another product that we can consume that can kill dogs.

It's called CHOCOLATE, and it contains theobromine.

Onions can also be toxic to dogs.

Barbituates that can depress your nervous system act like amphetamines in dolphins.

Some drugs, like ritalin, affect children in the opposite manner that they do adults.

Before you start raving, try reading.

WTF homeopathy is a huge range of things do you thing homeopaths just sit there with a bowl of water to treat each and every condition your post begs belief.
No. Homeopathy is just water.

You are, in all likelihood, thinking of naturopathy.

But plain old homeopathy is just water. In fact using the scale of dilution that you see on the bottles, a 30C means that they used more water than exists on the planet to dilute it down so that not even a molecule of the "medicine" diluted in it is present.

(sarcasm) Isn't that amazing medicine? (/sarcasm)

He's saying that different chemicals, food, etc. affect humans and dogs in different ways. Just because you know that marijuana doesn't kill humans, doesn't mean you have the knowledge to apply that to other species.

I understood that.. but the subject is Marijuana and dogs... Isnt it?

if they have tested marijuana on numerous animals to the max... then why would i worry about my sleeping dog... IM just saying. the tests are there... havent you people watched even the video that mentions the tests?...

check out: "the union:the business behind getting high" listen to the doctors that speak. get the name of the studies and search those if you want to get in deep... but coming on here talking about marijuana causing even death on animals is to me a capital offense punishable by hanging. Nothing is wrong with Marijuana at all to nobody to no thing. Quit spreading false crap!

Use google.

"cannabis toxicity dogs"

Takes 2 seconds.

Go learn something instead of spouting off.

When you parade around your ignorance the only outcome is that the people who follow have to wade through horseshit.

LIsten.. I understand what your saying... But do you have any idea what happens when you go to the hospital besides them calling the cops... Do you ever wonder why its only the youngins that go to the hospital all fucked up...

in the hospital all they doo is flush you and charge you some $$$ they monitor your vital signs (which stay fine) ... if you are gonna need a shot of something to stabalize your pulse then you have taken some really bad crap and probably should just go ahead and die right now... Marijuana will not cause your heart to stop...or your lungs to stop... you will just sleep..

look dont listen to me.. fine... just remember the next time something happens and your really fucked up... just member that Genfranco says you wont die from pot.. OK .. thats all im saying..

I'm getting my dog higher right now. One time he ate a batch of cookies that I used a qp of trim to make he slept and got up to drink water that's it. No puking or seizures ever. If he's sleeping and i light up he'll wake up , walk over and sit right in front of me and I'll blow him a shotgun. He's not retarded if he didn't like it he wouldn't come around everytime it gets lit up.

Two hundred and thirteen cases of marijuana toxicoses( they use this word because it means a negative effect of a poison. When really they should of used the word exposure since marijuana is essentially non toxic but they wouldn't want to lose their govt. funding now would they?) in dogs.

Janczyk P, Donaldson CW, Gwaltney S.
Division of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Departement of Pre-Clinical Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Warsaw Agricultural University, 8 Ciszewskiego Street, 02-786 Warsaw, Poland.
Marijuana (Cannabis sativa) is a commonly used recreational drug among humans; animals may be exposed following ingestion or accidental inhalation of smoke.

From January 1998 to January 2002, 213 incidences were recorded of dogs that developed clinical signs following oral exposure to marijuana, with 99% having neurologic signs(99% of dogs got high), and 30% exhibiting gastrointestional signs(If you eat 90 grams of marijuana you might get gassy). The marijuana ingested ranged from 1/2 to 90 g. The lowest dose at which signs occurred was 84.7 mg/kg and the highest reported dose was 26.8 g/kg(lets see highest dose given 90 grams divide by 26.8 we get 3.4 kg which is approximatley a 7.5lbs. dog that got 3 ozs. of pot fed to him. That's the equivalent to me eating 5.5 lbs. of weed.. Onset of signs ranged from 5 min to 96 h, with most signs occurring within 1 to 3 h after ingestion. The signs lasted from 30 min to 96 h( If I ate 5 and a half pounds of weed I'm sure I would still be feeling it 4 days later). Management consisted of decontamination, sedation (with diazepam as drug of choice), fluid therapy, thermoregulation and general supportive care. All followed animals made full recoveries.( of course, marijuana will not kill)

All the animals in that study received medical care, as noted in "management consisted of".

Genfranco, you've proved you're a troll. Stop proving yourself a moron.

If you don't think a dog will ingest a substantial quantity of something, put an entire plate of dinner that would make YOU full on the floor and see if the dog eats it.
