My old husky/ wolf (RIP) used to catch the stray cats who came into my backyard and since we were lucky enough to have mostly cement in the back... it was painted with cat. Fucker didn't eat it, just tore it in half and spread it around.

Watching him catch sparrows flying low was the best though.

this is the argument that bugs me.... when did we decide that man lost the animal-like instinct in himself??? only 100yrs ago, most people's sustenance came from hunting/trapping/fishing, farming, and gathering of native edibles.... and we have been here for how long??? debatable number there, but still exponentially larger number than 100yrs.... which is why you have the trophy hunting business execs.... man still carries an inherent nature for hunting, for survival... but many distort it and just get off on killing for the pure 'fun' of it and taking heads, leaving bodies/good meat to rot in the sun...

I too have seen the viral PETA videos of the skinning alive thing... dont understand the reasoning behind that... doesnt logically make for a good pelt., and i agree that is cruelty, but it will happen as people are cruel.... but what makes the man a pussy??? because he didnt chase the squirrel and bite it himself?? he pitted nature against nature, albeit a rather unfair fight with unclear motives

People do use animals to retrive animals they hunt. I don't think that's a pussy that's just time saving. He trapped it and let it go just so i can be killed. He didn't eat it or use it. Dog fighters also do the same thing except with cats or puppies. Is that ok?*

im all too aware of people using dogs to hunt... grew up with it (beagles, mostly for coon hunting down here).... have you ever trained a hunting dog??? they dont just magically go after the animal of your choice... you have to train them... where do you get said animal(s) to train your soon-to-be hunting tool??? trapping is a shitload easier than chasin down a squirrel

Don't tell me about hunting I own a farm and know all about it. You do not train a hunting dog. It's already in there genes. All you have to do is get them to know woods and listening to gunshots. The hunting dogs beagles,bloodhounds,etc are hunting dogs. If you use another dog it will most likely run from gun shot or when it does retrive it will rip it apart so you wont be eating. Stepdad went hunting with labs, those kind of scruffy muts, little shit dogs... plenty of dogs can be hunting dogs for different hunts. So I don't know where you get your info.

* Have been going hunting since 5 and took first buck at 6. I've been doing it for 51 years. I know all about hunting trapping etc. German shepards are herders not hunters. Lab's are good water dogs.That's where I get my info.
