Don't tell me about hunting I own a farm and know all about it. You do not train a hunting dog. It's already in there genes. All you have to do is get them to know woods and listening to gunshots. The hunting dogs beagles, bloodhounds, etc are hunting dogs. If you use another dog it will most likely run from gun shot or when it does retrive it will rip it apart so you wont be eating. I can already tell what kind of person you are though. " Look daddy he didn't get it. Let's kill him" Dumbass!

Any good hunting dog requires training. You have to teach them the scent of the animal you want them to sniff out. Teach them how to go about the hunt with discipline. Of course its in their genes, but you have to hone their skills. Some dogs chase, some tree, some point, some retreive, some bay, some herd .

watching dogs bay a hog is the coolest thing.

people eat squirrel and its a valid food source for some. But when you think about it most exterminators who deal with squirrel infestations such as in roofs of homes ultimately capture and then drown the outdoor creatures. Is it wrong.....i guess but at the same time i am not a peta member unless its "people for the eating of tasty animals."

The scent is true the rest is not. You do not have to teach them special discipline for hunting.*

Hogs are a very trick animal. It's a 50/50 on whether or not it's gonna be scared stiff or be pissed. If it gets a hold of you or your dog your fucked. You will probally live but you will be fucked up. I'm not talking a lil nip either.*

im all too aware of people using dogs to hunt... grew up with it (beagles, mostly for coon hunting down here).... have you ever trained a hunting dog??? they dont just magically go after the animal of your choice... you have to train them... where do you get said animal(s) to train your soon-to-be hunting tool??? trapping is a shitload easier than chasin down a squirrel
Nature against nature you claim earliar, well is that trap part of nature? No, nature says squirrel goes up tree dog sits at tree trunk looking bewildered, seen it a million times.

I actually used to own a dog similar to Benassi, and it would actually crawl up behind birds, squirrels, rabbits, rats, mice, opossums, pretty much whatever wildlife he came across and kill and eat it.

Also, how does trapping a squirrel and letting your dog catch it from right beside the trap to teach them to hunt? Thats like me teaching you to fight by putting you in the ring with a blindfolded guy in a straight jacket.

The folks at gun dog mag would disagree.

http://www.gundogmag.com/training/

And why does gun dog supply sell these prodducts?

http://www.gundogsupply.com/

training hog dogs takes training:
http://www.blackmouthcur.com/starting_your_hog_dog.htm

Deer Dog training season begins in Florida.
All dogs have to learn discipline before you can hunt with them.

also if you were to hunt with my trained dogs or someone else's it is unlikely they would respond well to you if they are not used to hunting with you. You would probably return from the hunt empty handed.

Go tell the folks at The Hunting Dog Forums that hunting dogs don't require training and they will laugh you out of town.

If you think it is as easy as buying the right kind of dog and taking it out for the hunt, you are wrong.

Everything I said originally is very true.

training a dog is key. Ever hunt with a dog that brings your hunt back in bad shape. Its instinct to kill and declare territory but not

My ancestors spent hundreds of thousands of years fighting their way to the top of the food chain. i'll kill what I want when I want. To do any less would be uncivilised IMO!
While I agree, the eagle killing is awesome... This guy is a complete douchefag. :finger: It's not cool to kill shit for no reason..........I think their is a freudian reason this guy has a cock for his avatar...lol fag

I hate hunters and I love animals. But Im not vegetarian or a tree huger. Putting such a small animal against a big dog for enjoyment is cruel.I will remember every person that supported the video or said they hate animal lovers and now I hate you.My pit would destroy that guys dog but I would never let him do that it is wrong and weak. When comparing animals to humans I can not think of one single animal that has crossed me or done me wrong.People even in my own family let alone some stranger on the street have done my wrong many times over.F all you bitch ass animal haters!

So what you're saying is that you hate hunters and the natural instincts of our species to survive and you've turned into the cliche human who enjoys their cumfy spoonfed life too much, have no skills of survival other than relying on todays technology.

Good man.

All this over a squirrel, was it a grey squirrel, well think of the red squirrel in britain and Ireland where it is native, its nearly extinct in these parts and not because of hunting or people destroying habitat but because of the grey squirrel over running the native red .So measures have been taken to make sure of the survival of the Native red squirrel,i.e. Grey squirrels are trapped or killed on site but i suppose some of you think this is wrong ,so what would you animal lovers do to save the smaller red squirrel.I love animals myself ,except them evil fucking cats.

That wasn't a cage with food and water... it was a trap cage to catch the squirrel.

That wasn't abuse in any way... the squirrel was fine in the cage until it was let out and a dog had at it. Sorry, I didn't see abuse. I guess every single hunter who trains there hunting dog deserves what's coming to them too?

God damn illogical hippies.

i see nothing wrong with this. the dog gains drive, the squirrel dies quickly. that's about as cruel as feeding a pet snake a rodent.... o.0

i think you peta fucks should be the ones facing judgment and pit bulls; your ideology, methodology, and tactics are disgusting at best. want to see the worst of a human being? look at an animal's rights activist....

I don't like PETA either. He PM'd though and said he did it for shock value on the web. So he did it for no reason except for being a prick.

At least he's not like those insurgents who post videos of sniping US soldiers. It's a fucking squirrel...

From 'Cabin Fever'
"Why would you want to shoot a squirrel...?"
"Because they're gay..."
