exactlyYour basically describing ideal condition for the plant to grow in, the key is to stress out the plants as little as possible by following those guidelines and u should get a good crop of females.

I don't think outside factors like that can determine it. I could see where genetic engineering might be able to persuade sex but not outside factors. However I think these suggestions could help to keep plants from becoming hermie as opposed to staying female.i know i posted this a while back.. some good, helpful info though so i am re posting.. the original post i read was years back.. can't remember where i found it but the person who wrote it got around 90% females on a consistent basis from regular seeds using this method... (think it was from overgrow...)
keep a higher humidity, around 70% -80% and you will get more females..
keep the temps about 70-75. the cooler temps give more females than males.. males like heat.
less stress, less stress = more females..
18-6 lighting schedule rather than 24-0 give more females..
females like a good nitrogen diet..
males like more k or p, cant remember which atm..
control those things and your chances of getting a female will be greatly increased!
^^^^thats nuts
you're off a bit.
24hours for more fems
low humidity for more fems
cooler than average for fems
blue spec for fems
this might work if sex is not predetermined genetically.
I second that, Illegal - after my first two rounds with bagseed, I'll never buy anything but feminized again. Yeah - it really, really does suck to put in time and effort and resources on a plant, to find out it's next to worthless, and have to kill it.As much work as I put into my grows, and as much money - I can't imagine not spending the few extra dollars to get good feminized seeds. I strive for maximum control. I want to know how many plants I'm going to have. Plus, I know it's all about the girls, but having to kill off the boys seems like a bummer.
lmao, you've obviously not read all the renditions. jorge has contradicted himself so many times it's scary o.0Quoted from the growers bible: (Jorge Cervantes, 2006 edition)
For more Females from seed:
Low Temps
High Humidity
More blue light
Fewer hours of daylight
Males:
High stress
Warm temps
Low Humidity
Low growing medium moisture
Not sure how all the misinformation gets out but I would go by the guy with 30 years+ of growing.
