I agree with the term "pussified". Great way to put it.
This is the liberal mind set, "help others even if others suffer from it (including themselves)"
example of this, someone with such a desire to give to the poor that they lose all their money and now themselves are too poor. this is an extreme example, but this is basically what happens.
Conservative mind set, "help myself before helping others and never hurt myself while helping others"
example of this, someone who gives to the poor but still keeps enough of their own share for their necessities and any luxuries they may want.
you see the difference between examples is, the second doesn't hurt or cause loss to him/herself.
to put this in political terms, obamacare is "take care of some others who are not taken care of at the cost of our own quality of care, as well as the tax dollars of those who can afford it paying for those who can't."
i really feel libs care more about other people than they do themselves, but what they fail to realize is that you can't care about others without caring about yourself FIRST. want a real life example of this?
when on an airplane what do the flight attendents tell you to do with the oxygen masks? Put YOURS on FIRST before assisting others.
Because what good are you assisting others while your unconcious.

doesnt the meaning of being a liberal, mean believing in individual freedom soveriegnty to the people? sounds like the definition of political parties have been perverted by the media, everyone feeling like they should choose a team and be loyal. wouldnt leftist sorta refer to more free thinking compared to right being the following servant. im sick of the sides thing people need to start thinking about things. people really just need to smoke more and think things out. what are liberals scared of anyway? probably some alpha that gets angry when they feel they are losing control and have to use physical violence or bad language in defense which doesnt solve anything. if you really feel that your side is the right side you have the same passion and beliefe that somthing has to work. free individual recognition would allow people to see that the other person over there is just as free as you and that what they have to say should be considerd, i feel that would encourage logical conclusions. and logic says that war in any form against people is a crime. smoke some weed dammit , the west coast will hopefully one day be its own country

I think we need liberals. I have seldom agreed with them, but I have always considered them generally well-meaning and essentially patriotic. But now the liberals seem to have signed on to a hard left agenda that is an attack on the constitution. Obama has said he sees the constitution as an obstacle. He wouldn't salute the flag or wear a flag lapel pin. He trashes this country from foreign soil. He has referred to the founders as "the so-called founders." He wants to redistribute the wealth. He wants a centralized soviet government to control all aspects of life. He is applauded by the countries that hate us the most. He seeks to silence voices that disagree with him. He seeks to create a cult of personality focusing on public school children.
In the not to distant past, liberals would have joined conservatives in railing against anyone like that. We need good American liberals back.

You're right, the Bidelbergers own Obama just like every other pres. He's not a progressive, but in the mean time at least he'll do some good for real people while we're getting sold down the river. I don't want to hear any right wingers saying anything about the constitution, freedoms, pussification, taking away rights until at least one (R) is willing to stand up and say the Patriot Act was unconstitional. It is unconstitutional.
Why have not the Democrats who have held both houses of Congress since 2006, not sent a bill repealing it to the President?
Why was its repeal not made a priority after Obama became president?

I couldn't agree with you more. Dems drank the kool-aid when the shit got passed, and they aren't being anywhere near as active as they need to be in repealing it. But their a damn sight closer to doing it than Repblicans. C'mon Dennis Kucinich, put your balls on the right wings drums again!

Considering the bent of the Republican Party over the past 15 years or so, is it really fair to promite the party as being conservative?
I took a trip up to the Reagan library yesterday and really took my time in going through all the exhibits.
I'm kinda hoping that the spirit of The Gipper will somehow influence the direction of the Republican Party. Either that, or let's start a new party and call it "The Gipper Party."
