that's what she said LOL n1i was always told just to put a finger in there for like an inch or two at the most
I agree. Also remember, if you're useing a moisture meter, be sure to test in several different areas, as some spots will probably be dryer than others - you wouldn't want to hit a dry spot and water her when the rest of it is still soaked.i was always told just to put a finger in there for like an inch or two at the most, and if it felt dry that far down then they needed water.. i would think that if you let the whole pot get that dry you could stress them out.. i would go with just letting the top inch or two being dry before watering
good call daveQUOTE FROM HIGH TIMES GROW GUIDE 2009 (ARTICLE ABOUT THE WIZARD) " First, the Wizard pokes a finger into the top of the soil. If its dry, he then pokes a finger into the holes at the bottom of each plants bucket. If the soil there is dry as well, he'll actually lift each bucket up to get a sense of the water weight. The Wizard will only water a plant when its almost dry, so if the soil is still wet or moist ( or even slightly damp), the plant wont get watered"
Hope that helps at all.
