All-in-one DIY Aero Cloner/Veg/Flower Systems.....

hey epix do you ever use cloning gel?? I tried a batch in my cloner dipped in gel they all looked sweet for about 5 days then turned to shit and all died seemed the gel woulnt let the water get into the stem, kind of sealed it up? any thoughts

Nope, never used the Jel before,
done it with the powder before and found it all got washed away too fast..

If you are using a cloner, you gonna have to stay away from the soil/medium style rooting agents, they are ment to stick and seal the stem tillit's in the medium, then usually gets rubbed away when you push soil around it or it into soil.
So, if you do wanna use a gel,
try to Only cover the Cut end lightly,
or,
dip them in jell, let them sit for 5 or what ever mins and wipe it off to go into the cloner.....

Best bet is to get a liquid rooting horomone,
Or ,
Use Nothing! Good old water does the trick!
Make your cuts, drop them into water for 5 mins, then into the cloner...

I have Not been updating my DIY much anymore....
For that i am sorry,

But otherwize, Everything is doing just Awsome!
These systems work SOOOO Awsome,
they make my growing soo eacy and productive!

Through out my past year i have had heat probs,
they are solved now but i am Just waiting on my First Non Heat Stress batch to dry....

My last batch, wuz stalled by heat stress, cured to 15oz's...
Batch befor that produced 1 1/2 lbs!
Per table is these numbers, and i got it to a 2-3 week turnover time now, Depends on the strain.

The batch thats drying already is better looking and stronger smelling, Buds are way bigger and hard as a rock,
and i can say it wuz Alot heavier too...

But i'll have to wait a few days to give my next set of numbers...

Just to add aswell,
i started to use the Veg table as a flower table,
and am very impressed with how they bud out in such tight corters, thinking of making new table tops for the bigger systems with more sites!

So, i'll update this thread again in a few days with some root porn and finish numbers....

Every time you post it makes me want to try follow in your footsteps...but im failing at the first hurdle. You guys in the US are lucky with your Walmarts that sell everything you need. I found a UK equivalent...what do you think of these for my res and or main flower tub.

Hay man, no worries, it's the idea to ask and learn....
As for the 2 jugs you showed me,
doing it my way, i'd use Both,
smaller one for the rez and bigger for the grow table,
But,
i'd wanna find some plastic sign board or something for the big Jug's top,
it'll probly be too high with it!

Another point for ya, you can go even smaller on the Rez size, but you will have to refill it more is all...

Can i pick your brain on your res? How long does your 50l res last with the 24 site flower in full swing? (just roughly)...if you find it ok...im sure it will be fine for me.

Good day there imanoob, how do this fine day..

Just remember when ya get it all together to keep it simple!
Trust me, the More fancy you try to make these systems the harder to clean and maintain they are! lol

As for the Rez, it all depends on what stage the plants are in to how fast they will eat...

I find in the first 3 weeks of flower they can empty the jug in 4 days,
week 4 to about 1 week before they done, they will empty the jug in 2-3 days..

It also depends on how steady you keep your PH too tho,
if you keep the PH perfect, between 5.8 to 6.3 range,
Then the plants will eat faster..
I keep mine 6.0 all the time..

And i should get some pics up tonight,
just rolled a few joints of the new stuff to go to work with me,
tester time!
But i must go to work, so hope that helps some!

Sounds like you will have a fun day...new bud to smoke. Totally jealous, i have the worst commercial bud at the moment...either damp or underweight...cant seem to source anything decent. I cant even smoke in work...i get the old zombie pink eye even if i look at a doobie haha!

Is it possible to pump the pumps outside like in this pic? excuse the poor ps skills haha

How do you think this setup would go in a bedroom? Unfortunately its right next to the bed lol

Was hoping the pumps/misters aint too noisey. Prob 400-550gph pump and an air pump/stones.

Loud dripping sounds/humming etc? Dont want to annoy the neighbours.

3)
instead of a cloner, could i raise the misters so it reaches the new cuttings? then once a good amount of roots begin to show, lower the misters and start nutes? just to save on two setups.

LOL, Hay man, no prob, thats how we all learn!

Let me try to answere your Q's.....

Q 1....
Yes you can, you just gotta get pumps that work Inline,
I use them but just don't have room to have them outa the rez!

Q 2....
It all depends on the Table size and Mister/Sprayer count,
I got a 240 gph in the 1 flower system and a 440 gph in the other,
only real difference is the spray volume!
But, as they spray Volume incresses it gets louder!
I suggest you try a 240 or so first if you want quiet!

Q 3....
You could do, i guess....
but there is 1 thing you have to remember,
Keep it simple!
Roots will clog everything!
I use the Misters for cloning Aimed Up at the bare stem,
then when they get roots,
i have the Sprayers Aiming Down so they Never get pluged by roots...
What ya gotta do is make 2 different Sprayer bars,
1 with a short lifter and Misters on top,
then 1 with a long lifter,
and have the Sprayers on the underside way above the roots facing down...

The tubs available make it too high overall...I like the design of your system because it drains to the res underneath...Im not sure how to drain the flower tub with a res sitting level beside it...if that makes sense. I wil keep searching.

Anyhoo, currently growing AK47 from Serious Seeds myself, so keeping an eye on yoru other grow. Its jam packed in there, HSS looks sofuckinggood!

I'm not sure using this type of setup would work good side by side tho.... at the very leaste get a long/wide shallow rez, but you gotta stay below.... you can however change it some and get a real deep grow table and use it as the rez too, but then it becomes something totally different... But does work great to i hear!
