hey guys would it b cool to use all distilled water in a d.w.c. set-up???
Same here....It may keep you from having to purchase water...and Cal-Mag as well.It wouldn't do anything but good, it will cost you lots of money though. I go with just tap water myself and don't have any problems with it.
test your water anything over 50 ppm is bad for your plants my water is 50 ppm and i have had no problemsi heard that distilled water does'nt have trace minerals, like some spring, my tapwater is not bad kinda hard water lot of bs in it
Once again....Much more expensive...R/O & Cal-Mag.
Try a grow with tap and see what you get BEFORE spending all the extra $. Unless you just like to spend 1st.
What nutrients do you use? This is true......good to try first. I've found that using RO or distilled in a hydro system is worth the extra money (and for me personally....the only way I can keep ph stable) but can't really say for soil.
PS...RO water for me forever!!
Same here, R/O all the way. But when using it cal-mag or equal is needed. Just go easy to start. A few drops per gallon goes along ways. Also if growing in soil wait until week 3 or so of to start with the cal-mag, most soil has enough o get them started and use to nutes. This is true......good to try first.
