I'm 68, not the oldest on the site, ViRoid is older than I by a couple a years. Lids were the common name when I started smoking. In Ca, By the beach where I lived, 10.00 sandwich baggies (Lids) were stuffed full. I always broke up the kilos in the bathtub, duct taped the drain and let er rip. Usually got between 28 and 30 lids out of a kilo after removing major stems and seeds. Paid 50.00 for a kilo of decent Mex. and 75.00-100.00 for exotics like columbian gold, acapulco gold, and Panama red. There were some other favorites, like Zacatecas, Michoacan, Oaxacan, and a few other Mexican varieties that were special. I usually sold the 10.00 lids to most of my customers and kept the hard to get exotics for myself and a few close friends. I've had as many as 500 Kilos stored in my beachhouse garage at one time or another. Never got busted while living at that address. I'm pretty sure the local cops knew something was going on. When I sold any of the exotics, they went for 15.00 a 4 finger lid. Of all the Mexican varieties, Michoacan was pretty high on my list, my all time favorite was Panama Red, those were the days, cheap weed and tequila, couldn't get much better.
