started using them on my current experimental grow (not ready to share yet as it is ongoing and I am doing something I have never seen done before)
having said that I do have a few countertop photos that show how green and healthy it is (I say it because has not shown sex yet) at 5 weeks

plus I used Mammoths topping technique for 8 (or more) colas

I learned a lot from Mammoths grow journal
https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/181208-my-stealth-cabinet-grow-journals.html

it is also where I got the donkey dick phrase for my avatar

the technique is the same as Uncle Bens (sticky) only you top after the 4th internode, it was end of 4th week as I remember?

the pics were taken right after I cut the bottom 2 branches for clones

though Mammoths journal is over 200 pages I highly reccommend reading it, lots of really good info, plus he advocates keeping plant green much like uncle ben

hint on my experiment veg & flower are being done with just one cfl
23 watt for veg and 65 watt for flower (+ one extra light for spectrum mix, it's a light I have never seen used,,,,,,,,,,anywhere)

I see where your coming from with the nutrients being good but you havent even finished a whole crop with them and your already endorsing them. Sounds a little early to me. Besides, I believe in keeping the plant green the whole time also but know it can be done with any nutrients if you are qualified enough.

I'm endorsing the budget aspect of the nutes, the fact that a person with short funds can still put a small medical grow together with high quality nutes and get both veg & bloom for 10 bucks.

the npk ratios are correct for our babies veg ratio 1-1-1 and bloom ratio 1-3-2 and that they contain several needed micro nutes

as an example a gallon of Humbolt Verde cost $79

there are enough nutes in the tubs of Jacks to make 30 gallons for $5

this experimental grow has only cost about $80 so far and that is what I'm endorsing :bigjoint:

Now those are the prices I like to see for nutes. Do they totally dissolve in water for use in DWC and Aero systems?

Thanks, YGB

I am a dirt guy
they do dissolve in water
but I can not say whether they are suitable for hydro?

I would go to the Jacks Classic website and email (or call) em and ask, I am sure they will answer

As for Organic, I disagree that ALL medical MJ should be organic, seems to me that Medical MJ should be potent and fill the required need

Here is a study comparing organic to non organic from the wiki

Comparison with inorganic fertilizer
Organic fertilizer nutrient content, solubility, and nutrient release rates are typically all lower than inorganic fertilizers[11][12]. One study[which?] found that over a 140-day period, after 7 leachings:
  • Organic fertilizers had released between 25% and 60% of their nitrogen content
  • Controlled release fertilizers (CRFs) had a relatively constant rate of release
  • Soluble fertilizer released most of its nitrogen content at the first leaching
In general, the nutrients in organic fertilizer are both more dilute and also much less readily available to plants. According to UC IPM, all organic fertilizers are classified as 'slow-release' fertilizers, and therefore cannot cause nitrogen burn[13].
Non-concentrated organic fertilizers with dilute concentrations of nutrients have greater transport and application costs.
Organic fertilizers from treated sewage, composts and other sources can be quite variable from one batch to the next. Without batch testing the amounts of applied nutrient cannot be precisely known.

Good Luck with that!

Well that plant is the one in my avatar, taken 2 weeks ago right after HE showed balls

I put the avatar up to show off the T9 setup (circle bulb)

The plant I thought would be the male (was very lanky compared to the male) is now 3 weeks into flower and is PURE FEMALE :bigjoint:

She has absolutly beautiful buds growing using nothing but Jacks Classic, I will be starting a journal to tell the story because there is a lot of learning involved (I made a lot of mistakes) and have learned so much from these plants!

Thanks for the interest, I will post a link here once the journal is started

Ok here is what Jacks Classic does :bigjoint:

this girl is 3 weeks into flowering and has had one feeding of Jacks Bloom (gave her 2 feedings of Jacks Veg before flowering)

vegged her for 5 weeks, topped her twice, she has 6 colas

Enjoy the bud porn :weed:

haha, way to pull out some wikipedia stub. The plant
won't fully metabolize your inorganic solutions.

As for clubs who don't sell organic herb, its called setting
standards, and here in colorado, there are several clubs
selling only organic, and they are clearly doing better
than clubs selling chemmy herb.

The reason "all organic fertilizers are classified as slow
release fertilizers with no burning effects" is because
your plants don't recognize them as FOOD, the living
micro organisms which form simbiotic relationships
with your Rhizome use the Organics as food and your
plant in turn eats what the organism shits out. THIS
is proper food for your plant, and only with this can your
plant fully metabolize.

Chemical growing is the most non sustainable growing
available today.

Since chemicals have been introduced for growing,
problems with pests, molds and fungi have doubled
from 14% to 28% with the use of pesticides and
chemical fungacides doubling along with them, having
less and less effect.

Without organics the early bird doesn't get the worm, since
there are no worms, there are no beneficial bugs to eat the
pathogens and pests and there is no natural protection for the plants.

I can reiterate, anything labeled medical should be of the
highest quality ORGANICS. If you are smoking inorganic solubles which
can't be flushed out of the herb, you are hurting your lungs,
and not helping your debilitating condition. Just because it
gets you "high" doesn't mean it is performing its medical responsibility.

Just keep googling and wikipediing for information, I mean it has
to be correct since ANYONE can write anything they want right?
