Only 38% support Obamacare

It would be especially dumb and irresponsible to own a home and not buy insurance on it. It's equally as dumb...

But I agree you should not have to do it, you should only have to sign a waiver. Hopefully that's just there as a placeholder to where everyone is just automatically covered on the government system. This is only the start of legislation on this.

One is by choice. The other is manditory with jail attached.. I used live in Oregon (Bend) but I had to leave because of all the lame brain people in that State. Please tell me- yoy're not being held captive!!!

I resemble that remark.

There are all types of people around here, it just depends on where you go. If you want to go snob around and feel superior we have plenty of places for that here and there is no shortage of other people who enjoy doing that also.

That must be a teabagger poll...polls, tolls
It's funny when opposition calls them Teabaggers. Hell yeah they Teabag people. Nuts all over Pelosi and Reids faces when they never get elected again. Same with the rest of the idiots that are desecrating our country.

No party is safe from this because people are keeping tabs now, but Liberals are really screwed in 2010 and 2012.

Support for Obamacare is now down to the level Hillarycare was when it became a laughing stock. Support is dropping like a stone and despite the rush they are trying to put on it, even the bluedog dems won't buy it as is. The public option is dead and as much as the media wants to portray it as an exciting political contest, it has come down to which of a few small elements will be in or out of the watered down bill that will pass. Yawn.

True. The whole thing has been a mess from day one. Watered down?? True. All they need is a foot in the door and then.... they will really begin 'construction'. We can't let them in. Even via a lame bill.

"plot everything imaginable to damage the administration. We WILL now do the same in spades!"

How noble and productive. Thank you for your contribution to society as a whole.
Well, this Administration is doing a good job of screwing themselves, even without opposition trying to thwart their efforts.

A personal attack is when you go after an individual person.

I wasn't directing that at anyone in particular, though I'm sure they know who they are.

Well we as a country have proven we cannot govern ourselves as far as health care goes..Frivolous law suits and such..And thats the least of our problems..I for one support a socialized medical plan..Some will argue that this is un American and one step closer to Communism..And i agree to a point..But aslong as they dont throw out the Constitution entirely we can always rewrite it.. I for one am dam tired these pharmaceutical companies charging 100% over the actual cost of meds and getting away with it..And doctors doing the same....My opinion on this subject..I can go on for hours on this subject..But as the sayin goes ..Opinions are like ass holes, We all got em'

so you are oposed to the successful business model of pharm and docs?

hmm so how much does it cost to do all the testing, and law suits, and science work, to put a statin drug (lowers cholesterol) on the market? then to have other companies produce the drug (generic) and basically give it away so all your costs cannot be recovered?

seriously, if you bust your ass to contribute something valuable that people are willing to buy, then another person comes along and buries your company by flooding the market with a cheaper knock off, how long will you stay in business?

well guess what happens when drug companies go under? no new lifesaving drugs.

seriously, this is economics 101 day one. does this really need to be explained to people?

Yes. We believe profit has no place in health care. Jesus I can't believe I have to explain this to you.

How many new drugs, how many new medical technologies, have been developed by the non-profit sector? None. More curious, why is anyone who believes profit has no place in healthcare supporting Obama? Has he said he believes that?

Actually many of the biggest medical advances came from socialist medical systems belonging to the armed forces of the world or from socialist learning centers called universities. As far as new drugs go, there's always a market for the next new viagra and work on that will continue unabated. I'm talking about basic medical care, stuff that requires ZERO R&D and ZERO new drugs.

Basic care isn't dependent on developing any new drugs .
