The Official Canna Coco & Nutrients Thread

I personally would change it.

But this late in the game u would probably be fine just adding the additives as you suggested...
 
thanks man and i went and got some shooting powder today im excited i use 5 gal jugs for each feeding i put 13 grams of the powder in this 5 gal feed and we will see the guy at the hydro store said i will see changes in two days i am getting a camera tomorrow because these things are looking so good i have to share with you guys thanks for all the help. Is there a flush additive you would recomend cuz the guy at the store said i should do a light dose of canna ab at the end with this flush stuff that i cant remember the name.
 
jberry whats going on? i dont know if you remember but you answered some of my questions on the "Coco Growers Unite!!" thread. i was using Fox Farms nutrients in my canna coco but after a week im really not pleased with the effectivness of it. my week old seedling is about half the size of other peoples i've seen using canna and its color is off. plus its too stressful deciding what strength to use. therefore, i brokedown and order the Canna brand nutes. i got A and B, Rhizotonic, cannazym, and PK 13/14. i didnt know you can go to the canna website and make your own personal feeding schedule...thats really cool!

would you suggest normal or light feeding?

since im only a week in do you think switching nutrients will effect my plant much??
EDIT: i hadn't read your info about CANNA additives yet but now im assuming switching will improve my plant almost immediately, especially using the rhizo?

wut up rock,

yea start with a week or two of the light feeding then switch to normal feedings its usually safe to up your nutes once the plant is at least 10 inches tall or three weeks old.

you shouldnt have any problems switching companies.

thanks man sounds good! i have a questions about the canna grow guide. its not labeled weeks 1,2,3,4,5,... each stage/phase starts with 1. do they mean thats how long you should using that mix? like 1 week for root formation at 6ml/gal then do 3 weeks of vegitative at 8mL/gal, after that 2 weeks of blooming at 10mL/gal...etc.? haha did that make any sense?

im not sure i follow you?

but i think the answer is YES, thats how long you use that mix for.

sometimes the chart says something like 8-11 ml per gallon....(meaning u probably will need 8ml and shouldnt need more than 11ml)
 
yea dude sorry i should have used a visual aide. the guide below isnt for me im just using it as an example. am i right in assuming that the 1-3 in the "weeks" column next to vegitative stage means weeks 2,3, and 4? and the blooming phase is weeks 5 and 6 and so on. im pretty sure thats how it is, but i wanted to double check.
 
thats a weird chart, ive never seen one that has 18/12 hours of light in the same line...

i think they mean the last week of veg and first 2 weeks of bloom

anyhow, after you have a good strong root system started, then use the veg schedule for how ever long you veg for.... and keep using the veg mix when you switch to 12/12. use the veg mix until you see the first signs of flower, THEN switch to bloom phase.

get that pic/chart from my journal did ya? LOL Thought it looked familiar.

You can go on the canna website and spec your own you know....for your own requirements I mean, res tank size etc.

I only roughly followed this chart as a guide. I followed my plants more. They are better at telling you what they need and when they need it.

This was canna's 'normal' feeding schedule...I went a little heavier than this too. The canna 'heavy' feeding, was a bit too much for my taste, so I just tweaked the normal feeding schdule that you see above.

yea i hope you dont mind! i did make my own but for some reason i cant copy and paste it. i remembered seeing that in your journal so i snagged it. i try to follow my plant but since its only my second grow, i havent mastered the language of the plant yet.

thanks for the advice J, that helps alot. i cant wait to start the new stuff. im starting to get some burn from the friggin FF. shoulda just listened to EVERYONE and got the canna from the start:wall:. i was only gonna get the A and B but discovered they sell the additives in 250ml bottles so i got the whole line for only 55 bucks! and since im only growing one plant, im not buying way more than i need.

don't mind at all man....I had to print screen the chart and then made the jpg in paint. As long as you know you can do your own too, that was my main point. Just follow the chart then man, plus a little more. If you have an EC meter, you can't really go wrong with it to be honest. If you don't have a meter, then the canna chart is spot on for EC....I compared it with my meter. But you will need a PH pen, these are cheap compared to EC meters though. You'll learn from your plants in no time as you go.

For example, burn is always easy to spot. It will start in the tips, maybe the leaves will be curling too. If you see any tip burn, you know to back off a bit........it's just simple things like that man.

I think you'll love the canna nutes. They made me look like I can grow nice weed! LOL
 
Boss thread jberry, just read in full im on my first grow and this has learnt me a lot of stuff. Got a question need to be sure what im doing is ok, im at 16 days flower growing bbbc from seed. Im putting in 20m/10L of a+b, 20m/10L boost things are looking good i think. Going to start using pk13/14 in week 3.5 as you have said, should i keep the a+b the same and use the boost and the pk at 10m/10L. Thanks mate nice1

I have been reading all youre post and I acually just registered for the site...But i have been using Coca A and Coca B to fead the plants...Plants have been under a MHD light for about 5 weeks...Should I add anything to these neutirens like big bud or something or do i just keep it with these 2 bottles...Thanks And Stay High

i would use the boost and PK at full strength and lower the A+B just a little or not at all.

you can use big bud or another flower booster, BUT i would lower the amount of A+B that you use when mixing in additives that are not made by canna.

you can also get threw your whole grow with just the coco A+B... the choice is yours.

Thanks....Am go by big bud and only use for 2 of my 5 plants to see if i notice a difference....when is the best time for big bud am 5 weeks in to veg and was thinking of flowering soon...

Is it better to wait for 8 weeks before buding or does it not matter...??

And is big bud the best thing to use with coco A and B ?

I would go by size to decide when to flower but if u are starting from seed then it might take 8 weeks to get big enough.... its nice to wait until u see some pre flower hair pistols on the nodes...

i dont know too much about big bud because i dont use A.N. products very much (if at all.)

honestly the best bang for your buck is probably the PK 13/14 by Canna, but you use it in the middle of flowering (week 3,4 or 5, of bloom) instead of the end of the cycle like some of the stronger PK "finisher" type flower booster (last 2-3 weeks of bloom)... its up to you which one you want to use or u can use both, but never use them at the same time.

if your not into the canna pk 13/14 and your looking for a higher npk booster, then i would recommend M.O.A.B by Mad Farmers (for a good value), but if money is not a issue then i would recommend Shooting Powder by House & Garden.

Gravity is a good product that will harden nugs and help finish your plants and is NOT a nutrient. it can be combined to the others i listed but i would run ALL the nutes at half strength so you dont burn your plants...

Everything i listed will burn the shit out of your plants if you use to much or start mixing them together... lower your A+B when you do use the boost.

just stick to the A and B untill your at least a few weeks into flower.
 
Hows it going jberry havent used any of the products thinking of using canna on my next auto batch.
What would you recommend me using?
I was thinking pk13/14 and some canna boost?
Strain will be auto hindu kush and auto AK47.
Thanks for any advise you can give.
 
i would skip the boost personally, its just too expensive imo... the pk 13/14 is cheap and works well !
