finally, if this becomes law the rest of the states will notice how much money Cali is making off of it, then it should be no time until all of the other states take notice and enact similar laws. After that, its over. The feds will have no choice.:bigjoint:

What I don't understand is how the fed can acknowledge it's a medicine in california, yet it's still a scheduled 1 drug in the books stating it's not medicinal .... ohhh the hypocrisy
there was a federal medical marijuana trial during the (first) Bush reign. I think something like 30 people were in it, then it got shut down once Bush sr. was up for re-election. Only like 2 or 3 of the original patients are still alive.

So, in short, the feds like to talk up their asses.

nice let me know if you guys need help, ill ship over a couple container loads of american flags that say "we are free to choose" on them

that would be a sight to see,

100,000 protesters marching to the DEA offices with thier flags of freedom, you cant argue with that kind of ground swell

plaster it across the national news

lol we should make some really pointed protest posters like ones that say

"perscription drugs are addictive"

"we have the right to choose"

"Perscription drugs are dangerous"

"marijuana has never killed any one"

"Marijuana, the safer alternative to perscrition pain pills"

"marijuana, the other white lie"

"marijuana is the right of responsible adults"

"we are not children, i am my own gaurdian"

"mind your own business"

"you do not know better"

"stop the lies about this amazing plant"

"the drug compaines dont want you to know this"

"Marijuana is safe, there is no recorded deaths ever from marijuana"

"perscription pain meds addict and kill (fill in blank) people every year"

"legalise marijuana for responsible adults, or you must make pizza illigal as it is more harmful than ganja:bigjoint:"
nice man I like the american flag idea that would do it

Local police (or anyone else) didn't stop federal agents before when they were going after medical and if you legalize and start selling to everyone you can bet it will be the same thing again, they'll just stand by while the feds do random pointless busts again.

But any news in the right direction is good news... :)

Are you serious???? bongsmilie:finger:
Dude think about it,if it passes, that means growing "HEMP"(Male) for fiber is legal too.All your plants will be seeded, unless you got a speacial indoor grow op.If you want to smoke something similar to mexican bud, fine,I don't.I don't want to buy it either.I rather grow it myself, preferably outside, under the sun.

I'm high and wasn't thinking...I feel what you are saying but we have to take these steps forward...But a randomly seeded crop would be the pits.

I'd take randomly seeded crops over no crops any day

In fact seedless is a rarity here in africa... don't let that fool ya though.

I am for decriminalization, not legalization. I won't be voting for it. Regardless of how much I enjoy it, love it, like to grow it, etc., I definitley don't want to see Phillip Morris running the show, because that's what'll eventually happen. No real beef with Phillip Morris actually, but how can we compete with them?

I'm with you on keeping the cigarette companies out, but that can be simple. You just make sure the laws are in favor of smaller growers, set a weight limit on growers that's just too low to support big companies like that or something.

Interesting idea, you could very well be on the right track here. In a capitalist society though, do you really feel that sort of law shaping has a shot? There are so many factors and exceptions to the rule I find it hard to believe that the actual rules would be followed. IMO, the smaller grower would still get screwed.

i understand your concern for your livlyhood

but legalization of marijuana is not about our profit margin

its about the freedom to smoke for responsible adults who choose to

think about it man if you dont support legalization because it would hurt your bottom line you are no better than the drug companies and other industries that have lobbyed to make our right to smoke cannabis illegal just so they can turn a better profit

because if they just decriminalize instead of legalize we would have to pay fines all day long for our weed possession just so you can sell it to us and turn a profit, i know thats not what we are about man,

also if its legalized everyone will just grow thier own anyway becuase the cig companies will have to jump through so many government hoops to get thier product to market it will cost a lot with a huge tax on it

even if the cig companies did not get involved no one who is not rich will by weed they will just grow it.

and they will still be considered criminals if gov dont give us an avenue to pay taxes on our grown weed for personal use. they will hit us with tax crimes possibly

if the laws are changed you can expect the majority of weed dealers to go out of business

including the cartels:bigjoint::fire:

You obviously have a easy convenient way to obtain your cannabis. Most of us have to deal with shady fucks and have several days turnaround from first call to bag in hand. That is when the area isn't dry.

People like me would LOVE to have a safe / dependable/ abundant / reliable / way to procure cannabis - and unfortunately for the greedy growers and dealers; they do not do a remotely decent job of this.

I have a connoisseur crafted micro-brew right now in my fridge; but I also buy the all purpose Miller Lite sometimes. It would be nice to have the same option with cannabis.

There are so few opportunities for a shitload of unemployed people and so few opportunities to create small businesses these days that it could be seen as a form of affirmative action for the people themselves. It would be an easy sell if you had the money to get the word out over the oppositions voice. The only way to keep it an opportunity for most is to shut out big tobacco or tax corporations out at a much higher rate and people hate them anyway.
