plants growing to big, what to do?

Hi guys, this is my second grow. My first time i used miracle grow and during flowering they only grew maybe 150%. This grow I'm using Fox Farm and they have already doubled in the first week of flowering...eeeek. I have the height for the plants but they are crammed under my 400w hps and i also have 3 40watt fluorescents. I cut off the bottom 4 branches off each plant and that gave them room for a couple of days, but now they are all over each other again. This is my only grow area and it's cold here (MN) so i cant go outdoors. Should I add lights below the plants ? My next grow I'm gonna only do 4 plants vs. the 9 now so I don't want to invest in more expensive lights. Should I cut more branches off? right now from bottom to top there is about 14 branches on each plant. Any advice is appreciated!!

Im no expert just was thinking you could strategicly trim some of the leaves/branches using your best judgement but i would do no more than 25% to any indivudual plant so you dont over stress the thing. Are you flowering yet is another question are you doing that yet? and i live in mn to and yes it has been fing cold

Thanks for the quick replies!, They have been flowering for exactly 1 weeek and they are about 12" away from the 400w hps. The room itself is about 7 ft tall. I've seen some threads on lollipoping plants, wondering if that is an option. The reason I cut off the bottom 4 branches is on the last grow they produced really small buds. But as I'm learning this grow is going much better so maybe I will yeild more. I got about 7 oz from the last grow of 6 plants.

ah yes I got out there at 9pm last night and got my snow blowing done. Some heavy wet snow. It sucked for sure. It would be nice to find other growers close by to share clones with. I pulled 10 clones off of these just to see if I could. BTW these plants include: white widow, northern soul, mama mia, la woman, pinapple express.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll check some videos now. Either way I'm excited about this grow. Looking forward to smoking "the dopest dope I've ever smoked" - Pineapple Express.
