Hello towlie,
You are a skilled debater and I respect your opinions and the facts you provide. After all the lies that are told by and about politicians, a thinking man should always question his own perceptions. So our perceptions about this man are different.

I honestly do not remember if I have seen this web site you referenced or another site for him. I did find his "Saving Capitalism" section. Most of his web site is about his plan. But, no plan was given. He was going to get us out of NAFTA and WTO and increase antitrust of big corporations. That is about all of a plan he has talked about now. Bust up large corporations and promote small business. Most political web sites are very vague, so that is not really a fault here. But, I see no plan.

He says, "I am working to prevent the privatization of Social Security, of water, of municipal services, and of our democracy". What is wrong with privatization of water and municipal services? Rural America is having a hard time keeping the water on unless it is produced privately. He wants to prevent the privatization of democracy. Well, that sounds like communism to me. Wouldn't the USA be better off with a massive development of small businesses? Yet, from what he has written, I think he will stop development from happening. His ideas are confusing to me.

One Kucinich’s most publicized ideas is the single payer medical system. Many people, like my physician, think this is a bad idea. Canadians have told me it is a system that does not work very well. Perhaps it is better in other countries? When I think of nationalized medicine, I think of a VA hospital. The few VA hospitals I have been in were pretty bad. So, show me a national health care system that functions well, and I may reconsider this idea.

So again I say, he looks like a socialist, to me.

p.s. The one thing he did do that seemed well thought out was his Articles of Impeachment, with supporting documents and video. But, his own political party voted this measure down, preventing it from reaching the floor. I wished this had gone farther along. It would have set the minds of people on many issues and Kucinich and others people as well.

That is how law works. I'm not defending Bush or his administration, just pointing out you don't know what you are talking about. In fact if we use legal terms, Hitler was not a criminal. Do you even know what the word criminal means? There is a fundamental difference between how you want to live and see the world as compared to I, but you have yet to show you understand law or basic terminology of the legal system. I don't agree with what Hitler did or what Bush did but this is not the same thing as they are both charged and convicted in a court of law. You have to be convicted to be a war criminal, the concept of war crimes was developed and ratified at the Geneva conventions between 1899-1925 , previous to that there was NO such thing as a war crime. It's just your opinion or moral stance that Bush and administration are war criminals. If you understand the legal term than you understand how they are not criminals in international law.

Try to find your way out of a paper bag. If that doesn't work, drop the insults and pick a stance that shows you know something about anything. Here is a topic for you: do vascular systems in marijuana plants have any co2 production capability?

Choke on your own puke and welcome to discourse!

If the door hits you on the way out don't take it personally, it was your fault!
More of the confusional bullshit. Kucinich may have socialistic Ideas and I say Kudos. This country has swung so far to the right it is time for a major correction. The current regime would definently rather make it a dictatorship as quoted by Bush in one of his press conferences: "It would certainly be easier if it was a dictatorship" GW Bush. Time to swing towards the left, get back some workers rights, curtail the corporate control over the government, stop the insane war being waged to feed the Militery industrial complex, Yeah thats right, it still exists! Fuck the vascular systems in MJ plants, Mine grow just fine without a doctorate in herbology.

Tell me mr. genious, If innocent before proven guilty is the program, why do you go to jail first then have to prove your innocence. It's not like your innocent till proven guilty at all. The accused is subject to jail and police abuse long before he ends up in a court to ascertain his guilt or innocence. All the police have to do is accuse someone, slap cuffs on him, escort him to jail and wait for the courts to give him a trial date. So now whether you are innocent or not, you have been subject to police abuse, Jail. Bond if available, the expense of hiring a lawyer (If you dont want a dumptruck public defender) all before you get a chance to prove your innocence. So you are assumed guilty untill proven innocent no matter what the law says. Ask me how I know.
You have convinced me you think you are right. Do you need any answers from me?

Mockingbird. First of all, it’s been nice debating you, but I’m fucking tired, so I’ll bang out this rejoin and let you take the last jab.

One Kucinich’s most publicized ideas is the single payer medical system. Many people, like my physician, think this is a bad idea. Canadians have told me it is a system that does not work very well.
I don’t know why a Canadian would know this. They have a socialized medical system in Canada... That said, if you value the opinions of Canadian’s, public opinion polls show they overwhelmingly prefer their system to ours.

Perhaps it is better in other countries?
Perhaps you’re correct. The World Health Organization has ranked the medical systems of 190 countries. The US ranks 37. Right in between the prestigious nations of Costa Rica and Slovenia. Can you believe that? We’re actually better than Slovenia, and almost as good as Costa Rica. Just thinking about it gives my pride a boner. “Welcome to America Man... Have a Nice Day...”

For the record. Every nation with a higher rating than ours also has a form of socialized and/or single payer medical system. We also pay more per capita than every nation that ranks higher (and lower actually). Single-payer opponents never address these facts. The argument that Kucinich fails to mention is that the US in fact has the best medical system if you can afford it... And I can, so in reality my healthcare would probably suffer. The nation as a whole, however, would most likely benefit. The 8.7 million uninsured children would unoquivacly benefit.

So, show me a national health care system that functions well, and I may reconsider this idea.
France, Italy, Norway, Sweden, etc. You have 36 to choose from. Even Morocco. I shit you not! Morocco!!! Can you feel it? That's my pride loosing it's boner.

Oh. I almost forgot. And seriously dude. I know you’re a great guy and all, but look up the definition of Socialist. The belief that you shouldn’t have to write a policeman a personal check just to keep from getting mugged does not make you a socialist. The belief that the government may own and operate the fire department, the municipal water service, the military, etc, etc, does not make one a socialist.

How the fuck would you know about the quality of my weed? I think you are a one trick pony and rational discussion is beyond your comprehension. JMHO.
Cool. So is your weed any good or does it not chill the bitter old man? what's my trick? I listen to my elders ;)

Towlie,
I am sure you are correct that somewhere on earth there is a single payer, nationalized heath care plan that works pretty well. I don't know where, but I accept the premiss as at least plausible. In this country, big nationalized systems do not work very well. The most obvious two are the postal system and the VA. I don't want the guy who bankrupted Cleveland near my doctor.

If you like the guy, vote for him. I think he's a goof on a rant. Amuse yourself by looking at Ron Paul's web site. It looks similar to Kucinich, but the content is very different.
See ya

Take care MockingBird.

P.S. I won't be voting for Kucinich. And say what you will about Paul & Kucinich. They clearly don't take their talking points from a straw polls.

Well, I'm probably one of your elders, and you certainly don't listen to me. I'm not saying age is wisdom completely, some old farts are dumber than a box of rocks, IE GW Bush. Age lays behind you many obstacles already overcome, it does not remove obstacles before you, and one should be learning no matter their age. My father once said to me in a casual conversation: "The more you know, the more you know you don't know". I think this sums up life pretty fairly. By the time you die, you are probably a total dumbass, I can hardly wait.

One fact, that you ignored, failed to mention, or just plain did not bother to check is this; most House of Representative republicans voted to put forth Articles of Impeachment. Most democrats voted against Articles resulting in a failed motion.

The reason this happened is because almost everyone in the House knows Kucinich is over-the-top if not insane. The republicans were going to open the door for him. The democrats did not wish to be disgraced by his clown act.

So, GrowRebel, when you speak of "someone decides to ignore the facts" being a "dumbass" you were addressing yourself, correct?
I am well aware of what the repukes did ... and they did it only to embarass the worthless dems. NOT TO UPHOLD THE LAW AND THE CONSTITUITON WHICH IS THEIR JOB!

... and if YOU had checked the facts it wasn't a failed motion ... it passed and went to the JC.

The reason the dems tried to block the bill is because they won't do their job ... it's the military complex that butters their bread and they are going to do whatever is necessary to see that the war crimes continue ... Kucinich is one of the few that works for the people and not the corporations.

Oh yeah right ... with you it's INSANE to try and bring war criminals to justice. The only clown act is the congress not uphold their oath to the constitution.

Mockingbird ... when I spoke of someone who ignores the facts as a dumbass I was talking about YOU. Correct.:-|

Hi GrowRebel,

You've been so quite I thought you must be in jail. But you're back! And your grammar has improved. So obviously you returned to school, to pick up where you left off. What was that, the third grade or something?

But, here again, in your last post, you did not check your facts. You ranted and raved. You spewed hatred and called names. You looked more foolish than Kucinich.

Thanks.

Good by.

Yes ... well unlike you I have a life .... It's you that looks foolish ... you didn't know the motion passed ... that's how dumb you are ... you pretend to know what you are talking about but only success in looking stupid.

Nuff said.

I don't have to rant and rave ... the truth is out there for those that wish to see it ... you just happen to be one that prefers lies, fear and war criminals over truth and justice.
