Blowing bubbles

I've seen other people on here that poked holes in the hose and wound it around. It would probably give a nice even bubble spread. The bubbles from my air stone are having problems reaching the corners. 1 of the clones got to dry and started to wilt. I added a little water and pushed a little more stem out of the bottom of the cup. All the others were still moist and happy. I posted 1 pic in the Party cup thread, here is the other tub. Since they first got roots yesterday it took 8 days for them to start. I'll give them probably 3 days then in either pots of cups.:leaf:
maybe add a little airstone in the corners(or the 1 needed).... i was thinking on making mine have a seperate little airstone for each netpot, only downside is all the tubing and fitting together(i enjoy doing "hands on" things so i dont mind)im probly going with 8 but maybe only 6 pots in my tub...
i heard of flexible airstone's,im going to check it out soon.i want to build on to try a full auto-gro in it probly with 4 pots. i was considering putting a submersible pump in the res. and having it drip into the top of each pot 2or3(maybe 4)times a day,for 5-10 min......(ill have an oversized res to give my pump plenty of room away from the roots.and more rootspace)
the one that wilted is ok or your culling it out?
goodgrowin man PEACE

I was thinking about using 2 stones in 1 tub. The stones aren't quit as long as the tub, so with the way I have them all the way against one side. There's a 2 in gap at the other end. Those flexible stones sound cool. I don't know if you've looked around in the bubbleponics section much but it's worth a look...>>> https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/
LOTS AND LOTS of good info in this thread...>>> https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/234626-rosemans-diy-bubbleponics-tutorial.html

A little comparison, 24 hours of root growth...

Last night...

Tonight...

A tub full of PJ! All but 4 have roots, they are the bigger ones that were tops. The clone in top right corner of the tub is the one that was a little dry. She's going to be fine...

The light growth in the center is new!!!

i looked through both of them awhile back, i keep forgeting some of the good threads on here. i have respect for roseman,he's deffinatly good people.
your clones are looking great, gotta love the bounce back then boom of new growth. the otherday after being on your thread i decided to go take afew cloneas and it's been 3 days one is starting roots already, the one in a glass of water(well in a beercup+styrofoam to stop light) the others are in soil with rooting gel are droopy and ugly probly will be good in a week or so...they're just for practice but i might aswell flower'em out.last practice batch of clones i took i killed the survivors too, what a waste.Keep up the good growin.PEACE
also: the 2nd airstone sounds great, howmuch were those? all the ones around me seem so cheap(ly made) but expensive...it;s retarted.

It's hard to find threads sometimes, theres so many of them. A few of mine might go into cups tonight, we'll see how energetic I am.
Good luck on your clones! I'm sure they'll straighten up in a few days.
I've paid less then $3 for them. They are 10 inches, and fit perfect in my tub. I think they all seem cheaply made. Most places only have 1 kind so there's not much variety.
Stay medicated!!

Did you find one pump sufficient for both? My buddy and me have a similar thing going, and we seem to use the kind of air stones you're using. We were kind of worried that we would need two air stones (=1 pump) per container, each container is about 25-30 liters. Of course an extra pump is kind of expensive where we live.

Any thoughts on dispersing bubbles more effeciently?

Perhaps the dispersion of bubbles throughout the tank/box is dependent on the type of air stone. Could this be the issue? I would really hate to be forced to buy another pump.

I found a pump sufficient for my needs. It's the dual outlet in the first post. Your res is about 3 time the size of mine. So you might want to look around some more. I don't know if that will be enough bubbles for you.

I posted this thread above, but I'll do it again. Lots of good info in there. https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubblepo...-tutorial.html

They're doing great! I finally got them all into pots 2 nights ago. So I don't have any bubbles going right now. I'll probably be taking more clones with in the next 2 weeks.

Look for an update in my journal tonight.

When you show a pic like this

Is that with the lid raised to look under? I guess what I'm thinking is just how close are the clones to the water level with the lid down. Right over the water or slightly submerged? I'm getting closer to cloning on my older ones.

*IMHO*,..Be careful with Superthrive in Hydro. I used ST in my bubblers and I had problems similar to yours. In soil it seemed to work better. I had Zinc deficiencies in Hydro.. Little leaf syndrome, nute lockout. Then I mixed up a fresh batch of nutes without ST, they exploded with growth and the leaves looked 100% better within a few days. I know ST is good for root growth, But in Hydro.. I dunno. Just my 2 cents. Best of luck to you. P.S. If you do Use ST, Use it for root growth in the very beginning(7 days), cloning in a bubbler(1 drop a gal)...after you see any signs of roots discontinue use.

That's with the lid up. I've found that when they're flesh it's best to have them right over the water. The only time I had one in the water was when I wasn't getting enough bubbles to the corner of the tub. They seem to get water logged if they're in the water. Just make sure they stay in the bubbles enough to keep them moist.

Thanks for your opinion. I'll remember that next time I try too do more than just clone in them.:leaf:
