Hey riddle,

Just read the update and that is somewhat a bummer. I say somewhat because without this info we would not have know what we could expect from the use of these pots. This was one of the items on my Want's/Needs list for my next attempt.
Well I promised there would be lots of learning :bigjoint:

I just wish some of it was not from stupid mistakes, but oh well I guess learning from our mistakes is how we get experience!

I'm picking up my dynagro tonight. Grow, bloom and pro-tek. They have a Mag-Plus additive I might get too. Its a high-p Mg/sulfur booster though and I've been burned by PK boosters like Koolbloom in the past. At least it has more than JUST PK in it.

Spray with Serenade...I have 3 bottles in my closet. Used it on my last crop. It is an organic spray that contains a harmless bacteria that eats the PM. It is safe to use till you harvest. Keep on growing!

green cure is potassium bicarbonate-based fungicide
Alternative to harsh chemicals
Proven effective in 200 university trials and 12 years in organic agriculture
Fully dissolves in water
Odorless - no foul smell
Sprays on evenly and sticks to
plant surfacesFruit and vegetables can be harvested as soon as 1 hour after spraying
Does not restrict plant growth
Economical
Does not accumulate in soil
Compatible with many beneficial insects
For Organic Production

i think serenade is about the same hopefully lol do you spray the whole plant or just the infected leafs or everything and the buds?
also i have sulphur dust on it right now from 6 weeks ago should i wash that off dry it out then apply or just spray over it?

As Long as the sulphur isn't on the buds it doesn't matter. I sprayed the whole plant cause I don't fuck around with that PM. Remember to spray on lights off and to keep your ventilation on after you spray cause want it to dry up. Because PM is different than Bud Mold...and you definitely don't want both haha.

thank you man i was looping it for a minuet iv inspected the buds really well with a microscope and cant find anything other then the few spots on lower leafs which i removed
soon as lights out in 11hrs ill spray them all down and kick up the airflow
thanks again

Yea I was about to go buy a sulphur burner for my grow when It happened. But to my surprise the Serenade bought me 4 weeks until harvest. I was only able to get it killed after 3 weeks. But my first grow was cramped and airflow on bottom trunks was low. So keep the airflow up humidity down and high up...ya feel me? Oh yea fyi if you ever use Serenade it stanks nasty.

right on man i was gonna get one too but they are costly and i sleep in the room with it so might be a health issue the sulphur spray worked great for 5~6 weeks untill the crazy rain but i wouldnt use it on buds since its still there and nasty ill try some serenade if it comes on my next batch if this green cure seems bad thanks for the tip :D

well lights off for 6 hours now and rh is 38% i waited to spray cause i was worried about it raising the humidity with this rain thats coming any min also i fell asleep around 530am and didnt wake till lights off for awhile :dunce:lol from all that iv read it seems really common to have powdery mildew so im guessing iv smoked it every now and then for the past 15~16 years and im still alive i think
if the buds get infected and covered ill trash but a few spores here and there dont seem to be that dangerous i can now tell the difference through a microscope between trichomes mildew and sulphur dust and iv yet to see any mildew other then the few lower leafs which were removed
i want to apply greencure but im so close to harvest and really dont want to wet my buds with this rain and i dont know how it will react to the sulphur if i need to wash that off first? i guess will see when lights come on in 6 hours if theres more spots im just gonna spray them well with greencure unless i can find a reason not to spray over sulphur and iv got -$ so if a dehumidifyer was free i couldnt afford it that will be a must before i start next batch
also after this batch is done and i clean my grow area idk what to do about clones seems like alot of people get mites and mildew from the clubs i wont buy mites but idk how to tell if its a mildew infected clone since the mothers could have it not show signs then the clones are infected just waiting for some moisture to ruin my day:wall:
any one know of any good clubs in so cali with uninfected clones around santa monica to palmdale to santa barbra iv been using green angel malibu the people are great the buds are top quality cant beat the mountain to beach drive out there i just dont know about the clones but i guess if theres no signs of infestaion only the ones with infected mothers would be bad i really wanted to do pre98bubba again but i think thats where my mildew came from
i had 5 in veg everything going good i went and got another pre98bubba clone to be a mother lights flipped on for the girls in veg the night i got the clone for a mother and i find mildew on one the 5 girls in veg a bubba 2~3 days later theres mildew on the new clone in a separate area so if it takes a week to show signs she had it to begin with unless a spore could land on her and just cause a outbreak?
i feel like iv learned so much this grow and i feel i can keep my next batch of girls happy as long as they dont come infected

here is a question.... some may already know my set up........ i got 4 T12 tubes, they have been doing FINE so dont say my prob is not enough light......

I have recently added 4 26w cfl's ( by the way i have gotten ridd off all but the 2 biggest) the lights are in those aluminum bowl reflectors, I got 2 hanging directly over the tops and the other 2 off to the side pointing downwards towards the plants, i got the tubes completely on there sides facing the plant, there isnt 1 square mm on them not coverd by light,

Instead of there normal perky posture they are all droopy and rough looking, and yes i have a fan on them there still dancing around jusst look bad,

here are some before and after shots.. you can see the difference( they are still just as dark green i guess the lights are making them look yellow...

so whats up you think they are just in " shock" from the added light?

oh the lights are about 2 inches from the plant:bigjoint:

John,

I know this is a silly question, but when did they get watered last? When my plants (not just my MMJ) start drooping like that the first thing I think of is water, and if you've added lights it might be causing your girls to drink more and the soil to dry out quicker then expected.

Riddle,

A few pages back you stated that cutting back the fan leaves is a bad idea. I thought that was only the lower leaves though, not the upper set? The fan leaves on my girls are spreading out so much and getting so big that they are starting to shade parts of the plant too well, and I've been considering pruning them back. What would you suggest as an alternative?

I had just made RIDDLES "rain" yesterday.....they almost never droop when I water ( well a little but never like this)
Looks like droop from being rained on to me, you added lights, did you modify everything accordingly???

your temp & humidity will have changed the ammount of light (and heat) has increased, you can NOT change one thing without adjusting everything else, remember it all matters!

By adding more light you are asking them to work harder, you must make it so they can, if that is what you want them to do?

Huh, thats a bit odd. Mine do that right after a shower as well, but they've perked back up within a few hours and have been fine by the next day. Not sure what your climate conditions are like though. It's really dry here, so the air sucks a lot of the moisture out of the soil even when the plant doesn't . In a wetter climate it might take longer for the plant to wick off enough of the extra moisture to perk back up. Just for comparison, my outside humidity is 40% currently, but we're expecting snow tonight-Normally its more like 15%.

The pictures you showed looked a lot like the pics in the problems forum that show both over and under watering, but I don't see anything else obvious wrong with them. Wish I could help more. :)
