from what i understand, that is caused by overwatering, the roots never have to grow deep down to find moisture, start watering when the top inch of soil is dry. or you could water from the bottom by soaking the pot and letting the water wick upwarpds.

I don't think it has anything to do with overwatering. If it were overwatering then the signs would be clearly visible on the plant.

It is the roots instincts to spread and yes for the reason to find nutrients, but once you bring a plant indoors and/or confine the root system to a little pot, the roots will spread no matter how much feed you give them, this is their instinct.

It's perfectly normal, that when you water that the top layer of soil will sink and reveal roots. Just cover them over zed', no problem.

BTW, i did admire your pic's earlier and I'm amazed at how well you've done with it so far. You seem to have a green thumb.:peace:

could be due to a shallow transplant? I've read to bury them up to the first set of leaves and since I've not seen any roots at the top and I'm a typical 'over waterer'.

Lookin good tho

You were already doing a great job before I came along... sometimes, plants just like people. A little like animals. They know you care, so they'll try their best for you. Affinity, I think is the word...

Things are looking good... if it is a fem she'll start bursting out in a lot of pistils very quickly. You did a good job of vegging her for her to show so soon into 12/12.
