man that looks lovely. Best damn shitter ive ever seen in my life! Please tell me you still use that toilet? =D
Of course! We have 2 bathrooms you see - this one has a shower that we don't use cus it's kinda small and well.. why should we? The other bathroom has a jacuzzi and a better shower :D

So to answer your question - Yes! I use that shitter all the time. There is nowhere else on Earth I would rather take a dump lol. It's nice to always stare at my babes while relieving myself.

Speaking of shitters, I think you will like this old ass sketch I made with a friend. Wait for "John McGregor", that's me.

Rich, I came over from Refs grow. They look good. I will say, those Co2 bottles arent gonna help on the ground. Co2 is heavier than oxygen. It is just fallin to the ground. It needs to fall down on the canopy. Also, I picked up 300w equivalent Cfls at Home Depot for $14.99. Dont know if HD is international or not. But 2 of those with light fixtures cost $52 USD. Maybe one on each side? Besides that, they look good. Keep those leaves green! Smoke well..

Hey Fditty,

Thanks for your kind input. I had no idea about the CO2 falling down.. Darn it. Those bottles have been like that since December. I thought it was correct since the guy who made the thread about those CO2 bottles had them next to his pots, on the floor. Guess that wasn't too correct. Nevermind then - thank you for telling me, at least the flowering will be slightly improved.

I'll try and put them next to the clip fan, it's at the lamp's level. To be honest, I'm not too sure much CO2 is getting out anyway, but it's better than nothing, eh?

I've thought about that side-fluorescent idea but I'm really broke at the moment so I can't do much about it. Nevertheless, just to get things straight - 2 of those fluorescent bulbs would mean 300 watts on either side of the grow? So technically speaking, I'd have a total of 1200 watts of light... Sounds very intriguing. I'll see if my old man can salvage anything for me.

Unfortunately Home Depot isn't international so I'm stuck with European online stores; less variety for more bucks.. what a rip off.

Again - thanks a lot for your input, it's much appreciated.

-Rich

Edit : I just found this on my local eBay - it's a 300w fluorescent, specs are as follows :

186mA
2700k
1400 lumen
220-240V-50Hz
IP44

Does that sound like any good? Here's the link with a pic : http://cgi.ebay.de/Strahler-Leuchtstofflampe-24-W-300W-Neu-2700k-1400-lume_W0QQitemZ280461570693QQcmdZViewItemQQptZDE_Haus_Garten_Lampen_Licht_Leuchten?hash=item414ccff285

Thanks again.

I bought that exact same MASSIVE CFL at home depot. It's a 300w equivalent. I'm about 98.23% sure it's 68 ACTUAL watts... But the things so big, I just took it back and use an abundance of 26 actual watts (100w equivalent) on Y splitters instead. Because seriously, 3 of the regular sized CFL's that I use are just about the same light, a couple more watts, and about the same size as 1 of those MASSIVE CFL's.
It was a cool ass find, just not practical for my grow room...

Hey man thanks for the reply.

So you're saying that I'm better off with a Y socket? How many bulbs can I put in one of those? Are they expensive or anything? And how do they screw into a normal socket?

Thanks,

I'm just saying that it would be cheaper to go with Y sockets and smaller CFL's. Because I can get a pack of 4, 26w (100w equavilent) {total of 104 w) 2700K CFL's for like 8 bucks. And that BIG CFL is 68w (300W equalivent) for 15 bucks. So if you do the math for the 4 pack of 26w CFL's that's about 13w per dollar. And for the BIG cfl it's about 4.5w per dollar.

That is the reason I decided to go with 10 26w cfl's. Instead of 4 68w cfl's. MUCH cheaper. And cheaper to replace the light bulbs when that needs to happen.

And a Y socket cost like 2 bucks. It just screws into a regular old light socket, then splits into a Y so that you can screw 2 bulbs into that. So it's basicaly screwing 2 bulbs into 1 socket. You can even get an adapter so that you can plug the Y sockets directly into an outlet and just use a surge protector thing with multiple outlets.

Here, the best way for me to explain this is to show you. I'm not trying to spam your thread or anything. So I hope you don't mind me posting a few pix. It'll give you a MUCH better idea than me typing words... lol

The first 4 are regular light sockets with Y adapter's screwed into them. There are only actually 5 light sockets, but with the Y adapters I've got 10 lights, catch my drift?

And the last 3 pix are ar of Y adapters, screwed into light socket adapters, pluged into a surge protector extention cord thing.

Hope this explains what I'm trying to say... But yes, I'd go with the Y adapters... But that's just because I'm cheap, and will do whatever I can to NOT spend money! lol

EDIT: Oh, and BTW, I found all this stuff at Hope-De-Pot. I dunno if you guys have one of those over there. But you should be able to find everything almost any hardware store.

Wow! Thanks for the great post, it was really informative. Now I have an idea of how it goes lol

I will try and buy some soon but I'm not sure if I can afford it (very slim chance).

Again, thanks a lot!!

rich, ppm stands for part per million. you need a food stick or whatever its called, you stick it in the water and it tells you what ppm your at. Example, you want to feed your plants let says 800 ppm's you put 20 ml of your flowering foods and additives and your only reading 500, this will let you know you need more or vice versa you need less! always start with additives dont ever start with the fertilizer first. Throw in your additives+ boosters then put your actual FOOD "fertilizer" feed every other watering this is important! if your watering every 3 days, lets say monday you fertilized them plus boosters/additives and tues/wed there almost dry again you are going to water and ONLY put boosters/additives so for fri/sat you will FEED again. Also rich, try this out, put your plants in a circle with your light dropped in between them, you will use 100% of it instead of only lighting the top 50% make sure the plants are at least 11 inches away from the 600 bulb. space them out a bit, by the way nice job trimming the lower branches, i should of done it this grow but i will def do it next time.

To answer your question, you should get at least 1.5 o per plant, now if you are running co2 plus good nutes good temps you got your intake for night time, fans keeping the leaves moving i could see you hitting 3 oz per plant, YOU NEED MORE LIGHT so next time less plants more light or bigger room. i dont use cfls , they might be energy efficient but sure as hell is nothing compared to my 1000s lol, o also, new digi ballasts can run a extra 10% harder than 1000 watts for galaxy digis they call it turbo mode

UPDATE : DAY 6 INTO FLOWERING

Alrighty then...

Today I woke up and noticed that the roots are actually spilling out the pots, on all 6 plants.

Pretty trippy. Just a week ago, I transplanted my girls from 7 litre (1.5 gallon) to 15 litre pots (3 gallon) and already the roots have grown like mad. I'm assuming that's due to the flowering.

Going to buy some dirt on Saturday and fill the pots to the brim, hopefully it'll give the girls enough space to grow in.

As for the cuttings from the other day, I just stuck em in a vase. Normally they should be in rockwool but I have no idea where to get any and I'm not really going to start another grow right now. (In a few months, yes). Maybe they'll root, maybe they won't. Let's see how things go.

And here's a pic I took this morning of some of the pistils. They're coming along nicely, I guess.

Peace,

-Rich

Hey ref, thanks for replying.

Alright, I catch your drift but what's the point of knowing the ppm? I mean, if the bottle says 50ml per 10 litres of water, I know that I'm putting 50ml in... No?

As for additives, what do you mean? Like the Hesi Phosphorus Plus thing? Well, I can't give that to the plants until week 4 of flowering. At the moment all I can give em is Hesi Bloom Complex along with 2 other things in that chart I posted, but I don't have the money for them,(unfortunately). But eitherway, I'm giving them the essential stuff, so it should be alright, right?

Thanks,

-Rich

no if you put what they say it may be too much or too little its a long shot in the dark you know, i mean you can go by what the plants tell you if you see them yellowing out a bit give them more food. If i fed my plants what it says to feed them i doubt i would of ever got to 1600 ppm and it wasnt enough they woulda taken more! As for additives, Super thrive is a additive, bcuzz root, ADVANCED: bud blood, sensizym, carboload, mother earth teas, voodoo juice, b52, these are all additives now the main fert would be from advance if you using sensi grow 2 step would be the actual sensi bloom A and B. the A+B would be the last things to go into the pot.

Alright, well I just read up that Hesi make an additive called Hesi Super Vit. I'll try and get that. But I still don't understand what it's for... Doesn't the fertilizer already have all the nutrients the plant needs? N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Zn, etc. ?

Thanks,

UPDATE : DAY 10 INTO FLOWERING

Howdy farmers,

Yesterday me and a couple of buddies went to the local grow shop and got another 50 litres of dirt and a bottle of Hesi Super Vit.

As you can see, the bottle is small as hell but it's enough for 650litres of water. The ratio is 1 drop per 4.5 litres.

In the previous update I talked about the roots coming out of the pots, so we filled all 6 plants with more dirt due to the extra space in the pots.

After that I watered them (along with some Super Vit) to let the soil set in.

These pictures don't do the girls justice, but you can see they're HUGE now, it's crazy.

Peace,

Thanks man. Yea they're just in a corner behind a shower curtain... lol

I'm starting to get scared of the plants - I can't even reach for my humidifier anymore lmao

Hopefully I don't end up getting smoked like that guy in Scary Movie :bigjoint:

2 WEEKS INTO FLOWERING :

Hey everyone!

Well, to start off, since adding more soil to the pots last week, the roots didn't waste anytime in filling up the space. They're already pouring out again.. not much I can do though. They're doing fine anyway, so whatever.

So far I've given the girls 2 feedings of bloom nutes, Hesi Bloom Complex with 1 or 2 drops of Hesi Super Vit - They love it :hump:

Since about 3 days ago, you can really say that the buds have started to develop. What were once small pre flowers are now becoming big white hairs and are going to fill up reaaall soon :D

As for size... Hot damn :-o the girls have really surprised the shit out of me and literally doubled in size. Not so much in height, but in width. Anyway I'm really proud of them, they haven't failed me yet

I also took out that annoying blue shelf thing that was taking up a shit load of space. Now all the girls have much more light coming through, especially to the lower leaves :)

Alright then.. enough talk, more pics!

Sorry about the quality on some of them. I messed up the macro setting and couldn't hold the cam still.

Enjoy!

Here's the AK47 - she's really starting to look like the pics you find on Google - amazing, huh?

Yea you can notice some burned/cut leaves. That's for leaving the light too close.. Oh well - grow and learn, eh? :hump:

A little close up (yea it's blurry, sorry)

Little bud-shot of the Super Silver Haze

Later everyone!

-Rich
