Fouled plug my guess.
alright, thats what I thought it was but then I thought since its warm and kick starts wouldnt it be something els and not the plug or is it different when the bikes warm starting it with a dead plug?

a lot of times you will get a soot like substance that slowly accumulates on the tip of the plug and will start to lower the plugs performance making it tough to start and still able to run.

Amateur small engine mechaninc here (drunk atm). Plug is always the start. So easy to check with a deep socket. If not, move on to the carb

I ride a kdx 200 worked
when I go bush I take 10 plugs cause 9 out of 10 that's it
next clean filter with cleaner then the carb
turn the fuel off take off petrol in pipe and spray carbi cleaner in there
and remember to drop the old petrol
2 stroke gets dirty and old real quick so new fuel is importaint so you have no crap in it
hope this helped

Change the plug first. If the bike has set up for a while I would take the carb off and go through it to make sure there isn't any kind of build up in it. Nothing like keeping older bikes going.

You're on a two stroke RM125. You need to ride the thing harder. I did that shit yeeeaaars ago on my first bike and gummed up my plug because I was putting around. You gotta keep the rpm's higher on two strokes. Ride the bitch like you stole it, blow out all that gunk by pinnin that bitch. I rarely had spark problems after I figured that out.

It is either air, fuel, or spark.

Buy a new plug. They are a few bucks.

Make sure your choke is closing. And then adjust the screws. So that you are not running lean / rich.

make sure your plug isnt fouled ...gapped at .028-.032 if its points and pull the bowl off and the idle/pilot jet is the one closest to the bottom of the bowl!! pull it out and blow compressed air thru it !! I work on bikes for a living!! DUCATI Cert. BMW Cert. and H-D Cert. and i am an A.S.E. Master Cert........im layin money on a clogged pilot jet though!! almost gauranteed if you can get her started and kept in the higher RPM ranges!!

Those two strokes are great, especially when that power band kicks in. :D

Did you ever get it running? If you plan on riding regulary, you should look into a good manual. Those things are always breaking down.
