Reagan also thought it was ok for the govt to steal someones property over a joint of weed, which he signed into law, and mandatory minimums for drug users, which he also signed into law. His trickle down theory was ass backwards and he had nothing to do with the Berlin Wall which he and other repugs take credit for. I'm aware of Barney Frank's support for legalization. I'm also aware of Jimmy Carter's support. My question was what have they done about it? Other than a few individuals standing up in support of it what has been done by the dems? Both democrats and republicans have given legalization some lip service but do any of them do anything about it? Obama said he is pro MMJ but he also said he didn't want to waste a whole lot of political captial on the subject. Other than individuals within either party, what have the dems done as a party to push the legalization agenda? That's because it's not a party agenda. It's a couple of individuals who have stated their opinions but haven't done much to actually pass any legislation or even seriously debate the issue.
