nope, they were metzler m3's with less than one season on them... ran over a piece of metal in the road. was wearing a helmet and riding jacket so i came out without a scratch... did crack the helmet though and was left with some nice aches here and there but didn't need to go to the hospital!
after mine went end over end at badlands it needed a new grab bar because the wreck completely just ripped one side off.. also had to get new handlebars because my legs bent mine upside down.. bent them back and rode the rest of the day though. Had some huge knots on my legs from bending the handlebars upside down.. they felt broken at first, it was painful but luckily i had some nice painkiller back at the truck
That R1 rode like a cadillac at 190 haha.. I had a steering stabilizer so that definately helped with all the bumps, kept steering straight as an arrow. I live in the midwest so there are plenty of dead highways around here to just haul ass on. use to switch the ipod to shuffle on my metal playlist, wear it under my helmet, and hit the curves. interstate clovers at 90 were always fun too, keep flying around them until you get dizzy haha
