is 6.0 ph Gud for oceans forest soil

I love FoxFarm OF soil and use a heavy 5.5 - 5.7 PH'd tap water. Seems to work great so far. That soils nice and airy, dries up even and fast. Watch your soil PH when it fresh out of the bag though. You can check this by testing some run off water after watering it.
 
yeah sounds great! I have been battling MG super soil at 7 and it has taken 3 tbsp of ammonium sulfate a tbsp of sulfur and a tbsp of calcium lime and put manure/compost in at about 8% blend in and just now am getting it down to 6.5. I gotta fins some of this FoxF's soil...:clap:
 
I flush everytime i water. I water 2 3 gallon pots with a 2 gallon bucket of water. I know what you mean about it being hot first out of the bag. I didnt flush one time and it burned my shit up. I was reading that if the ph level is high it takes up more nutrient would that give it a biger yield if you went high ph? or how do you think that works

do you think mayby thats why around week 5 my plants look like they are slightly lacking nitrogen ? I harvest every 6 weeks and try to keep my plant stressing towards the end to turn them purple. so i just thought the yellowing was due to me cutting back the nitrogen

when you switch to flowering nutes, the nitrogen level really drops. after the plant eats up the remaining nitrogen from the medium, it'll begin to display a nitrogen deficiency, as it should. this is normal, and is called yellowing off. some plants really kick out some awesome colors at this stage.

I've heard it suggested (and been doing my first grow) that you continue feeding it a partial mixture of veg nutes to keep nitrogen up through the beginning and middle of flowering
 
i like to ph my water between 5.75 and 6.25 im not even getting into the nuts part of this as i know that everybody does it different and it all depends on you strain and genetics!

I have a purple kush strain that was bread withskunk in humbolt. we have had it or 5 years now. im not sure what ph i should keep it at but i was advised to try it at 6.5 and im going to try that.
