Auto EasyRyder... Most basic set-up..

I am new to growing. I recently took a Biology class that we germinated seeds in so I know how to do that. I don't know what lights im using. It is a cool-white fluorescent tube light I believe. I will be using a 2L bottle as my pot. I know what you guys are thinking. That im stupid and a newbie. Both answers are yes. Im just trying to see if the impossible can be done

So a day later... Seed is crackin through! I expect by either tomorrow morning or afternoon that it will be ready to be planted in soil!

Oh and I added a 75 volt CFL too the little set up.

There's nothing stupid about a florescent tube, do you know if it's a T-5, or a T-12, etc....and whats the wattage and spectrum of your 75 volt? The 2 liter bottle is not too bad, it would probably support it until it's like 8"-10" tall...and just be sure to paint the bottle or cover it with something light-proof, cuz light hitting the roots is a NO-NO! haha

Its a T-12 Sylvania. Let me correct myself on the CFL. Its a 120 Volt. And I believe its either 23 Watt or 30 Watt with a full spectrum. 2L bottle is covered with black tape! I already made sure about that one. And I cut drainage holes in the "feet" of the bottle.

I will be using Miracle Gro potting soil. I will be going out to get some perlite for the soil. I am height limited to thats why I am using the 2L the whole way. I saw a 2L grow and he said his lowest yield was 12g and highest was 20g. Thats perfect for me.

Just transplated the seed into the soil! The soil is comprised of MG Potting Mix, MG Organic Bone Meal, MG Peat Moss, and Perlite. I will add pics of my girl as soon as she peaks out of the soil! Her name is Sophie!

She is growing nicely! Just waiting to get a camera for some pics! And I added another T-12 20W. I changed the CFL bulb to 40W pumping out around 2750 lumens

Added another 23W CFL so more lumens. So total lights are two 24" T-12 tubes = 2400 lumens. 1 40W CFL = 2700 Lumens. 1 23W CFL = 1600 lumens. So about 6700 lumens total. Is that enough for one plant?

Got a new update!! Day 11 and some new pics!

P.S Just ordered 5 more CFLs from HTG Supply. Two more 2700k bulbs to make 4 total. And 3 6700k bulbs for vegging

i wouldnt give them any nute for a while. your soil is hot enough. they should do ok in what you got there. you 2700k lights will be your flowering lights, they will give you the red you need . the other 6500k is for veg. now the veg time is only
