Starting a grow shed...at least an 8x10(I can get a bigger one if needed). Im hoping to start up 15 plants. Im wondering what your thoughts were on lighting? What do I need? Thanks
I have an 8x8 grow that has perfectly sufficient lighting for around 20-30 plants. I have 2 600 watt HPS lamps, with MH conversion bulbs(for veg). So I would say at least 2 600 watt or one 1000 watt for a pretty average grow. If you wanna be cheap go with 2 400 watts. I woudlnt go below 400 watt tho.

Ok, can not find an answer after MUCH research.....im using baccto premium soil. I was told by the nursery guy that it was the best they had....its:

.85%n, .02%P, and .01%k. And is Reed Sedge Peat, sand, and perlite. I have this and FF tri-pack nutes.

Is this enough for a good yield?

very litte perlite.....should i water more?

I was told it would kill them. soil too strong......please 2cents
The soil looks as if it will be ok, I would add perlite if there is not very much, good drainage is very important

But remember that the soil and nutes are just parts of your garden, everything in proper balance is what makes good yields

What BH said will work just fine for that area, but keep in mind that with an actual shed you are going to possibly have temp and ventilation issues that you will need to plan out

for my grow I have a 435 cfm exaust fan and a 135 cfm intake fan. I also have 2 oscillating 16" fans going most of the time. This is how my grow is now and the heat is about 6 degrees hotter than the outside temp.

hi all, been a long time since ive posted, but my two ladies are from bag weed are on there way. quick question for you all on here. one of my plants is doing really well, and thats because the other one has a fan on it directly all the time (limited space but it does go back and for a tiny bit). i believe my main girl is getting close to harvest. i tried cloning my smaller one and no luck. so i was wondering if i could take my smaller lady that has been flowing the same time as the other one and put it back to veg so i can clone where i was flowing after i harvest. also on my main lady, a few of the fan leaves have gone yellow and died. i have some horticulture experience and i know you need to dead leaf so i did, hope it wont harm it too much. thanks so much everyone, and happy smoking, just got some purple diesel to smoke, cant wait till i no longer have it buy it!!!

Yes you can put a plant in re-veg after you harvest it to get clones, you need to have green healthy fan leaves left on it after you harvest and it takes 3 to 4 weeks for the plant to do it but it is totally possible (I have done it)

and you should let your plant drop leaves when it is done with them (several articles about removing leaves in my journal)

hi everyone. question about seeds. I grew a batch of diesel ryders and pollenated them to not have to re-buy (in theory) and now I have the seeds from the batch and they are looking super prime. dark brown, dont break when pinched and dark veins all over. My problem is I can't get them to crack and germinate. sudjestions? I've tried wet paper towels and water soaking. I'm using RO water

once leaves are damaged they will remain damaged for life. Look to new growth for signs of getting better.

Ok riddleme since I liked ur past two answers Ive got two more for you...

If a tree falls in the woods but no ones around, does it make a sound? I say yes.

If you believe in God, how did God come to be?? If you don't, how did everything come to be? :)

if a tree falls in the woods and there is no one around to hear it does it make a "sound" ??? No, it creates a shockwave that flows outward from the origination (impact) sight. Sound is a human interpretation of the shockwave, no human, no sound

Humans invented God to explain the unknown, Zealots created religion to control humans and everything was "formed" by natural celular evolution
