Would you quit smoking weed for the love of your life?

been smoking up every day? stop for a bit being sober for awhile is a trip after being stoned 24/7 relashinships are about sacrifice you give and take and try to find a balance she still smokes so it wont be completly out of your life eather go for the girl

A friend of mine was in the same situation about 4 years ago. The only real difference was that he had already been married to his current wife for 14 years, and she was his third wife. For him, he didn't want to quit, but it was a no brainer-- he quit smoking, and they are still happily married. I think if you have to think about it, then you have already made the choice. If you know what your going to have to do (quit), but just don't want to, then seek out a voluntary 2 week rehab if neccessary and make it happen.-P

look if she smokes sometimes she is using this as a excuse to break up. she probably already knows who her next man will be. cause if you smoke, you have no problem with someone else that does. there is something else going on we dont know about. as long as you aint blowin everydolla on weed and you are a functioning memeber of society there should no complaints. she shouldnt make you choose if she knew you smoked before she got in the relationship. maryjane aint makin you chosse. tell her if she wants to leave because your the same person you were from when you met, theres the door. just my opinion

Wow guys. I really appreciate all of your responses. You know...I am really surprised at the balance of responses, I really didnt expect anyone to tell me to take the girl. I think I am going to take a break from smoking for a month or two and see how it goes. She can live with occasional smoking (weekends) and I know it seems like a big deal right now because I puff constantly. I know once you get used to hardly toking, its not as bad.

I will say I have had my heart ripped out by women before, so I am not naive to it. But I have never felt this strongly about a chick. Plus, really she wants me to get my shit together so we can start a family and I would need to be a much better role model than I am right now.

I am split up with her for a while, until I figure out what to do. I think I will take a couple months off and even if it doesnt work out I will at least have given my lungs a needed break.

Plus, one thing I have learned in life is that constant weed smoking does cost you some things....money, health (lungs), memory, time, legal risk. Dont get me wrong Im a lifelong fan so dont get it twisted. But wouldnt it be a fucking shame to let it cost me potentially the person I could spend the rest of my life with?
