Water question

I have found over 6-7 grows that it is better to water 12 oz. every day than 36 oz. every 3 days.
Everyone knows hydro set-ups are celebrated because they grow fast. They grow fast because the
roots are exposed almost continually to the Big 3 - water, nutes and oxygen. Dirt farmers that adopt
a water-every-day rule are catching on too.

IMPORTANT -- Put a small dot of Dawn liquid detergent in every gallon of nute water you make up.
The soap allows the watering solution to break into much smaller drops and this allows for much
better saturation of the growing media.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Dish sope in the water? Hard to believe this won't hurt the plant...
Dish soap in the water is a very good thing but I would not use Dawn, better to use a biodegradable soap like Ivory or Palmolive

My method of flushing every watering is more like hydro than watering every day IMO watering everyday without run off will cause salt buildups and possible related problems watering this way should include at least a monthly flush to prevent this

Dish soap works as a "surfactant" which allows water (which may not penetrate hard compact soils) to seep into the soil. It acts as a soil conditioner to eliminate air pockets formed when soil is allowed to dry out to much

When I notice my soil gets to compact, I simply get a thin twig..a pencil works great to. And very gently penetrate the soil and slowly wiggle back and forth. Have done this method several times and have not ONCE notices any harm done to the lil babies, just don't be a idiot and stab the soil like it owes u money...

lol..... thats good.. add some worms if you can, would be amazing for your soil. but yeah id keep watering till you see run off, and it depends on how fast the plant soaks up the water to water it again, learn your plants needs
