hortilux bulbs are damn expensive. but u know, why not fork out another 20 bucks? 20 bucks in the end isnt much when it comes to buds. how many watts u lookin for in ur veg lamp FDD?

my hydro store charged me 99.00 for the 1000 watt hortilux bulb i just bought with my new light.....i would look online for sure if i was you...

ok i got the new light in...i'm in love..it's so fucking bright in my bloom room...i gotta were shades,,,,,,,, i'm going to need to get a new reflector though, i used the one i had from a 400 watt, just one of the max wing reflectors from htg and it's a tad small the bulb sticks out the end about 1/4 inch LOL...but it's still working great and ...i'm so stoked......thanks guys for convincing me to go buy this new 1000 watt...i love you all..

Hope No-one minds me asking this here since I got the eys of alot of HID users here thought be okay to ask but Im a CFL-er turning to a HID. Got a sweet ass deal on 3 - 400watters (1 MH 2 HPS)
The real Q is when you plug them in, do you plug them all on the same surge protector or does each one have there own?
Sounds like a really stupid Q but im honestly wondering cause this will be my first time trying them out (which my new grow will start exactly on new years day WooT)

welcome aboard. you may a good choice.
i think they will be ok on the same protector. you can check the amps on the ballasts and add them up. make sure the protector can handle these amps without tripping. or get a second protector. better safe then sorry.

Oh yeah BTW im super excited on this next grow gonna be doing a nice SOG (tried it under CFLs but just didnt have enough they were puny plants but damn did they still get me high)
Ill have a journal up once its all up and running
