looking into 'healthier' smoking - vaporizers etc

Hey everyone, I was thinking about buying a vaporizer, so I've been reading what people have to say, and it seems like a Volcano, while expensive, is a good bet...

My question is, does it taste like plastic? Isn't the vapor hot?

I'm doing this for a healthier smoke, and I am just trying to figure out if I will have to deal with nasty plastic chemicals

hi there, got mine just over a year ago. gave up smoking over a year thanx to the volcano, leave in bag for a few mins if you want cooler but i cant say it is hot. the hit is top wack but it is best to give up tobacco and smoking spliffs so you really appreciate it. worth every penny.

And no it doesn't taste like plastic. It tastes like what it smells like when you smell a nice bag of what your vaping.

As the del said, if you take the bag right off and hit it, it will be a little WARM but not harsh. If you just let the bag sit in the room for a minute it rapidly cools off and is room temp.

If you use the volcano a lot, you save money, because your getting just as medicated with half the weight. Or twice as medicated with the SAME weight.

I love it because you just fill it up, and can take hits off it every 10-15 minutes. So you ALWAYS have that just took a hit buzz going on. It's very consistent rather than up and down. It's also very clean, no ashes, just vaporized herb that I collect and make butter with later on.


Bottom line if you have the money, and medicate a lot, get a vaporizer.

Lets say you buy an oz a month, for $300. Because the Volcano (for example) delivers almost twice as much THC, theoretically it would make that oz last for ANOTHER month. Now because you didn't spend the $300 for your second months ounce, you just saved $300.

Even if it takes you 3 months to smoke an oz, in a year it would pay itself off.


Now like I said this is theoretical, maybe you'll just use the same amount (or more because it's easier to inhale) and get twice as baked :-P

Either way dude I look at it as a win win

I grind up just enough to cover the surface area of a quarter, and there are like 3 GOOD bags I can inflate with that. Each bag is like 15 hits or so. I vape one bag and I forget that I still have hits left lol

It should be noted that vapor is a lot less hard hitting than smoke. A volcano bag isnt like 15 bong hits, it's hard to explain you'd know if you used one maybe someone can elaborate for me

Stale? No not really, it tastes like the essence of cannabis (technically it is). It's just musky in your mouth, but not thick. It tickles your throat and nose (not irritating) and glides through your insides. You feel the high instantly, in about 15 seconds. The thc absorption rate is higher with a vaporizer.

Imagine what it would feel like to inhale a cloud. A cloud is just water vapor, and the stuff in a volcano bag is THC vapor.


I couldn't really go to the store and buy one either. But if you want ultimately want a vape do this:

Go to a few vaporizer websites (I use Vapeworld.com) and sign up for their newsletter and all the other newsletters.

While you wait for deals to pop up (spring sales, thanksgiving sales, christmas sales etc.) you can start a fund. I started a *volcano fund*.

With your fund, find ways to cut corners. Your at the store and say you wanted to get some snacks, instead put the money away for your volcano. If you manage to save a few dollars a here and there on a consistent basis you will have a sick vaporizer in no time.

I know vapeworld does deals like 10%-12% off, which doesn't sound like a lot but when you apply that to the volcano that's like $60! While your saving up you got nothing better to do than look out for deals.

You can also check craigslist, I've seen a few classic volcanos used "less than a hundred times" go for $350. But personally I like to buy new, I know everything it's gone through and that's piece of mind for me.

thanks for the info. will check some websites and what not.
essentially getting more MJ out of my MJ is enough reason to put the ice cream back.
