i have a plant i have keep around for 2 1/2 years now. my big bud, my personal favorit.
You see so much about 'how frosty', 'super sticky', 'how dank'. With so many hybrids that are about. I am thinking alot of growers are missing out. Actually taking the time, spending the effort, to find a pheno within a strain that suits them. But too each thier own.

I only keep the moms for 2 or 3 cuttings. Then turn a few cuttings into moms. My Orange Bud seems to respond and grow today as it did yesterday.

Scribed for sure. I am following the dessertRat/UB slugfest also. This is the way it should be done. Instead of shunning a method, try it out and report.
Me too!

Also i have subscribed, Im only in my first indoor grow now.. I have topped the 3 in flower now and have 3 in veg LST but not growing well ( stunted - they are starting to thicken up (bushy) but not in length ) but will keep trying new techniques.. I dont know what strain mine are as we found 1 seed in pot we bought and from that plant we got a couple of seeds and been growing from that but i have white skunk on the way so have been looking around for best way to increase yield of them...

I appreciate your thread too Rat, will be trying these out too myself...

Blackcat, Dababy, Shoshon and Bigblaze. Happy to have you along. And Sho, I have a right to my AV.
I was clearing up starts this morning and thought. If I am going use the sun to flower, better try it out. Least in pots that is. 12 plants, 1/2 gal pots, 27"x23" tray. Just transplanted them from the 16 oz. cups to the 1/2 gals. This week I am going to make a chicken wire cage about 28" to 30" tall, closely surrounding the tray. Then make a box to cover them at night for thier 12/12. Flowering starts next weekend. Sun only and the pots wll not be rotated or moved within the tray. The tray will be moved around, but the plants will remain the same. I hope to top the 3 young plants upfront by next weekend. The rest have been pinched above the 4 node. If any later on grow above the night cover box, chop ahoy. Here are some pics...

Keep the sarcasm coming!!!!!!! Oh Ya!!!!! And thanks Pat. As far as the soil goes. Its a recycled mixture. Based on FF Ocean Forest, Happy Frog and something very similar Subcools super mix. All the basic goodies. Kelp meal, Bonemeal, Bloodmeal, Epsom salts, Worm castings ect... For example the cups and starts that were not saved were dumped into one compost pile. I have another all my chicken, and hog waste and lawn clippings goes in. Then when its time to make a batch. Some from the left, some from the right. These are the mixed with some good Canadian Sphagum, perlite and what I think needs to be added (meals, castings, dolomite ect...) Mixed and allowed to cook for a few weeks. Wish I could be more specific. I guess the best way to put it- Follow Subcools mix to start and as adapt from there. His hot recipe can be cut 50/50 with just peatmoss, and perlite. Clones or plants a weeks old or so should do fine in this mix. Then you just have to pay attention to the plants.
As far as nutes go. The Foxfarm lineup. And alot of this and that. side note-Big Bloom is the only FF product I have had to buy in almost 2yrs. Just because I have not found a way to dupilcate it. Growbig, Tigerbloom and the powder trio. Been using from them for almost 2 yrs,. Still all half full. Thats the best part of a solid soil.

journal 036.jpgjournal 037.jpgAs we all can see, this journal is going to go many different ways. A little of this, a little of that. Pics... Bottom is of the original plant that helped spawn this journal. Top right is of the clones taken yesterday. As you can see they are still just floating in water. I will get them re-cut and in pellets tomorrow. Top left is of the Diesel clones were taken from yesterday. Noticed today we have one node that wants to give us two too work with from the same point. Fairness is in the air.........journal 040.jpg

firstly transplant her or shes going to run out of root room and it'll be bad. cuz shes growing good :) but if i was u forget topping. Bend her so much better for a young sprout what u do.
Carefully pull down the branches of your cannabis plant, or the whole plant, tye them down. You are now forcing them to grow horizontally. the nodes will start producing branches or buds that grow straight up. Bending should be done gradually to avoid pinching or snapping the stem. Use soft hemp string or cloth to secure the branch or stem loosely when tying down to minimize damage to the soft stems. Growth is slowed for awhile as the cannabis plant adjusts to the shock of being bent. This is a good technique to maximize space in a small grow room
I need to apologize Flower. Your right. Gotta LST one. Not to compare, just throwing it into the mix. Put a Orange Bud in a 4 gallon pot. Got the cordless out and drilled a bunch of holes. Happen to have a reel that needs new line. (bet fly line works well for this). And we are off. Give her a couple of days to settle in and let the roping begin.View attachment 954856

First off I am having some issues with the new forum format so my posts and pics are a bit mixed up. I will get it figured out soon hopefully. Got the cage around the 12 culls that have been given a second chance. I was going to make a box to cover them at around 10pm, then uncover at around 10am. Times are staying the same. I think I am just going to use a tarp instead. Will give them a few more days to get settled into thier new pots and will begin 12/12. journal 045.jpgjournal 046.jpgThey have aprox. 24"x24"x24" to grow in. The 24" height is from the top of the pots, not the bottom of the tray. All have or will be topped just above the 4th node. Wont be checking to see who needs water. They will all get watered on the same schedule. White Widow, Master Kush, Snow White, Rocklock, Querkle, White Russian, Criticle Jack, Green Spirit and Diesel. Lets call this one 'Wheres Waldo?'. What ya'll think?

The LST project.journal 047.jpg journal 048.jpg I would have rather waited a few days before roping. But I will be pretty busy the next few days, so here goes... I am not really a big LST'er. One thing I did learn right off the bat was this. Flyline ROCKS for this purpose. I bet alot of you that grow with this method already know this. But for you all that do not or just starting too LST. Get some Flyline. Its got to be gentle on the plant. Easy to tie a knot in, that holds and has some give. You would really have pull tight on a knot making it hard to undo. I like it. And the LST became a LST/Supercrop. You will see in the pics.journal 051.jpgjournal 053.jpg
