Have we actually established what these weird camel toe things are? I really want to know! I had the exact same problem once and sorta fecked the whole grow (of one plant). I think it is a sort of hermification unfortunately. I suppose it would matter on how much of the plant is affected, but the buds do somehow ending up retaining lots of seeds, which is a real bummer. I wouldnt chop, i'd cut em off, but they may start popping all over the plant like they did with me. Sadly they dont taste nice.

I aint had this exactly before, does it spoil your weed to then? You would have to look back at your grow, could you have disturbed or stressed it peeking in during dark time, taking pictures when lights out, dramatic temperature changes or that. It seems that like when a plant turns "hermie", once you have this problem it doesnt go away, even if u cut it. Better to try prevent it in the first place next time by making sure you dont do any of the above. If it aint any of this then I just aint got a clue what it could be without experiancing it.

Yes, I imagine there may have been some stress, probably from ambient light during the dark cycles. I grew in an outside shed, and due to having started them in january, I opted to swap the natural light cycle for the opposite - in other words I had the lights on from 9pm-9am. This allowed heat retention during the coldest times of the evening. Unfortunately, when I would go in ocassionally to check on 'em during the day, some light would filter in. Could've had something to do with it. Strange tho that I hadn't seen any herm indicators early on when they went to 12/12. It's only been in the last week. I don't think it was extreme heat, or cold...I had a heater on a termostat in there with them, so I know it never got below 61 deg F or above 88-90F.
Worth noting - this is the only plant out of my three (all female) that 'may' have hermed.

From what you have said its prob been light leaks when you were checking but this would of had to be done on a regular basis to herm.

And it wouldve had to have been quite alot of exposure. That said tho, my grows for about 9 months (with feminised seeds I might add) ALWAYS got light leaks due to a previous ghetto setup I had beside a window,they got slightly burned from the HPS light and starved due to mad pH problems (we all gotta learn at some stage!) and not one EVER hermied...so I reckon most of it is just the genetics of the paticular seed you put in the soil/water (cos they are all closely related but all genetically unique aswell,damn sexual reproduction!). Im baked so sorry if thats a bit long winded!

As for my grow, being a 20yr old single mum that cant afford to run or get caught showing off with a big grow where I live, I think I do prety well, average 11-14 0z from 5 plants every 4 months. Does me fine pal.
