looks nice to me, but i think you're right on the ripening, probably at least a week, more likely 2
may just be the plant's natural cycle, but you can see everything up close
i guess most plants are looking green to me after the strange ripening on my current run
yeah sure she's heading for 9-10 weeks, hooray T_T !!!
I was hoping more for 8-9 but this bagseed may be a long runner - who knows? she may also start talking for what I know lol!!
I'm getting a bloody PH tester anyway... today I hope. I suspect horrible tap water around here and I never checked.

Looks nice.
I came home to plants that have had NO LIGHT in flower room for a couple days, haha. They look fine and I fixed the light problem.
wow risky biz Dezracer!!! glad you fixed it and looking forward to see developments :)

stayin tuned
thanks for stoppin' by m8! :)

EDIT: ph is 7.5ish on tap, 6.5ish after my carbonfilter-keg, therefore OK.

I'll be damned, I found BUGS - the hell with them...

they hit the big plant/pot and look like less-than-1mm-long micro-beetles, really tiny with kinda reflective carapace/back. They probably live underground and I can see them surface when I water, many of them all busy figuring out what's goin' on... :(

But the plant seem fine, there don't seem to be signs of the presence of the bugs on the leaves etc... maybe they're damaging the roots? I have no experience with pests, we'll see - the plant's almost ready anyway :)

Yeah, Neem oil seems to work for lots of pests. I'm using "Garden Takedown" spray right now and it seems to keep the bugs away pretty good. I originally got it for Mites and use it now once per week to keep pests away. I've heard of some bugs becoming immune to certain organic sprays so you/we are supposed to cycle sprays really. I haven't seen it first hand yet but if my spray stops working I'll get Neem oil. Some hardware stores carry these and most garden supply shops do too.

Have you checked your soil Ph? What worked for me is checking the runoff when watering to know where I'm at and can then adjust the water next watering to keep everything in the zone. I have a soil Ph meter now though so I haven't checked the runoff in a bit.

@ goodro wilson, Dezracer:

tnx I'll try Neem Oil, hope I'll find it around here... nothing is easy to find nor cheap around here!!!

@ Dezracer:

I started checking water PH yesterday - you've got a point: I should check soil's also! maybe I'll wait next round of plants anyways but I'll check which meters the market offers meanwhile :)

Have a nice day and thanks for the advices!!! :)

i never hear anyone suggest mosquito dunks here, i never got to use any neem oil, bc they dunks work so fast. (bout a day ) they are little donut lookin things. you disolve them in water maybe leave a chunk of one in the soil and voila. but i had a question for anyone who knows...are they safe? or are they some kind of chemical? maybe thats why people dont use them much? and trifase i lst'ed one plant thats about 3 weeks old and 2 days later all my side shoots caught up to the main cola and it looks pretty! haha your pics inspired me...well actually made me jealous so i did it too peace brah

You can get the meters cheap. I got mine from a Gardening supply place for $6 and it checks moisture, Ph and light (not that the light part is of any use in this type growing). I adjust the Ph of my water to 6, the runoff usually comes oout at around 6 1/2 and the soil usually sits around 6 1/2 when wet and goes to 7 when dry. It's pretty regular too, doesn't ever do anything other than that so it's been predictable.

@ goodro wilson:
neem oil sounded good, but I saw neem oil is better for spraying: my bugs take the tube -lol- so I may go check at the gardenshop in the neighbourhood for something you can dissolve in soil, possibly organic.
What a pity I still would like to try neem oil but leaves-wise/above the plant's fine.
Also I fear I won't find any specific product you may name in my country, just natural stuff or the brands that sell around here - leave or take ahah

@ Dezracer:
I found it I think, it's a kind of stick that does those measurements - too bad I can have it for 20$ - added to my shopping list anyway as it should pay itself off in the long run, thanks m8 =>

Yeah that looks a lot like the one I have. Maybe different brand or something because the shape is a little different and it's 3X the price unless you're getting it shipped.

UPDATE:

thanks to plants taking ages I now have 4 plants under 155W!
or 39W per plant - obviously they're at various stages
hope some finish for christ's sake... so that I can give the two newcomers room!

BAGSEED: 9 1/2 Weeks of flowering (1 month veg) and going... I hope 1 week-10d more but seems very slow
(plain water)

WHITE WIDOW: about 7 Weeks of flowering (no veg)
(half strenght nutes every other watering, molasses)

VIOLATOR KUSH & WW2: about a month old, a little less and no veg. Both showed pistils a couple of days ago.
(half strenght nutes every other watering, superthrive)

humidity (50% at day and 65% at night) and temp in the average (less than 30°C) , ph should be fair as well (6.5)

Yeah it sounded badass!! and my friend took 5 feminized.
This seed was traded with him :)

Here's the description from breeder's site:

*arneys Fa*m Violator Kush is a mostly indica cross of a Hindy Kush and Malana, originated in the Malana Nala, a side valley of the Parvati Region. Violator Kush is characterized by heavy crops of quality marijuana with a very high THC content.
Domination of indica genes make seeds of Violator Kush cope well with mild stress and some diseases. Her cannabis seeds have a good rate of germination of at least 80%. Fully developed plants are short (app. 70-80 cm) and bushy with large green leaves. They produce buds of such a density that tying or staking is necessary. Violater Kush plants look like touched by the first frost, totally covered with white shiny hair and with glittering pearls of sticky buds full of trichomes. THC content is said to be as high as 22%.

Flowering period of this cannabis variety is 8-9 weeks which is typical for any indica dominated strains. Already at the beginning of flowering, Violator Kush develops an earthy, musty smell and flavour which becomes more intense during maturing. This strain is suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation. Outside harvest starts at the end of September in Northern Hemisphere. Being a great yielder, Violater Kush produces about 150 gr. per m2 when grown indoors and the same amount per outside plant. The final product of this marijuana contains 1.5 % of CBD and produce a comfy couch-lock stoned effect

Thanks! :) The mother smells orangey/fruity from 1" away, very low odour :) I will definitely post pics of the harvest, curing, & results in general for reference

I like your grow style. Lookin good, keep it up.
Thank you Smokey! Nice to see you, I'm dropping by your thread later :)

Coming Next there's a new grow room, design attached:

- when bagseed finishes, I'd like to try a 20"H x 20"W x 16"L box with 6, 1/4 Gallon pots.
- SOG and LST and no veg on all plants, and 1 plant entering every 2 weeks: I aim to harvest 10/15 grams every two weeks.
- Lighting 6 (or 7) bulbs from above, totalling 138 - 150W depending on wattage I'll be using.
- Mylar all over and 2 fans (outtake fan will have a small diy carbon filter as I have now)

The reason is that I'd like to experiment, and I think this is going to be more efficient than my current box - let me know what you think :)

Hey bro, like the idea! I wanted to achieve something similar from my perpetual except I want to veg for a little bigger plants. I plan on cloning and having one enter flower every 3 weeks. I could go with every 2 weeks like you but I'd have to keep the size down or I'll run out of room, lol. I kept going back and forth between harvesting 1 big plant or a couple small plants once each month and decided to go with 1 in the middle every 3 weeks. We'll see how it works out.

Good luck!! Your plants look really good!!

thanks bro ;)
I'm still trying to figure out which could be the "sweet spot" among growspace/watts/n° of plants.
In fact, the two small plants (Violator and WW2) are already in small pots to test yeld in such conditions.
By the end of july I should be able to tell what yelds what, and start in september with the new grow room :)

Also, I'd like to stick with CFLs but I can't help wondering what a 100w hps plus 50w CFLs would do compared to 150w CFLs... mmm...

C ya!!

My buddy doesn't mix his HPS with his CFLs but he uses a 150w HPS in a DIY reflector setup. He only grows NL from clones but next time I'm over there I'll get a couple pics to show you what he gets from a 150. He's about to double up on the HPS but his plant is ready 7 weeks into flower so it won't make much difference on it. He's hoping to see improvement going forward and he's got a few vegging. He's a bit on the ghetto side with his stuff but he'll still get some good smoke out of it. I'm still new so it's hard for me to guess these things but based on my first harvest I'd guess that he'll probably get about 1 oz or so from the plant he's got flowering. Maybe more but not much.
