I think it's so awesome when growers are worried their plants are growing *too* fast. Isn't this supposed to be a good thing? LOL
I mean, the next week, those same growers are complaining about how their plants aren't growing fast *enough.* Well, I know I complain, at least. Never satisfied.
So, yeah, if things seem to be growing too fast for you, it's time to stake up the plants, just like you'd do with any other plant. At some point, they're going to stop moving upward and start moving outward. just a part of the cycle.
But it's good that you are watching out for this now. Most plants can bounce back from growing too tall and falling over, but if you're worried, just stake em up now (gently) and see what happens. As they grow stronger, they may be able to support themselves sans stakes.
It does bring up a good question though, do you want your plants to grow too quickly? probably not. If they're not growing at an average rate, those root systems may not be fully developed to support a bigger and bigger plant. Stakes or not, if your roots aren't strong, then your plant is going to weaken - and there's nothing you can do about it.
For now, support what you have and see what happens.
