congrats on your new grow. lots of skeptics here about led's, and i'm one. just can't believe they give out enough light to grow. do your lights have a lumens rating?

thanks, im not sure how much the lumens are but i know that panel i have for now is good for veg, a UFO should be coming in the next 2 days or so, im gonna prob put the UFO higher and hang the panel vertically along the wall or something.

Yea I dont believe in LEDs either but thats besides the point. The only thing from those pics I could say is your plants are really streched.

hey guys, sorry for plugging? it here but can people take a look at my grow and give suggestions? the plants seem kinda big vertically for only 12-13 days. also what can i do for the plants that are all curvy growing and basically fell over?

I think it's so awesome when growers are worried their plants are growing *too* fast. Isn't this supposed to be a good thing? LOL

I mean, the next week, those same growers are complaining about how their plants aren't growing fast *enough.* Well, I know I complain, at least. Never satisfied.

So, yeah, if things seem to be growing too fast for you, it's time to stake up the plants, just like you'd do with any other plant. At some point, they're going to stop moving upward and start moving outward. just a part of the cycle.

But it's good that you are watching out for this now. Most plants can bounce back from growing too tall and falling over, but if you're worried, just stake em up now (gently) and see what happens. As they grow stronger, they may be able to support themselves sans stakes.

It does bring up a good question though, do you want your plants to grow too quickly? probably not. If they're not growing at an average rate, those root systems may not be fully developed to support a bigger and bigger plant. Stakes or not, if your roots aren't strong, then your plant is going to weaken - and there's nothing you can do about it.

For now, support what you have and see what happens.

:peace:

yea i was worried it might be stretching too much, for now i have little stakes i made from hangers, they are working good for now, any suggestions on nutes that help the roots during this period? or would it be better to put in bigger pots with about 2 in of height from soil top?

size seems stretched for 13 days right? and what would stop this? less light? putting them in deeper pots?

plants stretch because of insufficient light, as they grow towards the strongest point source of light. more light, closer, is the only long term solution to stretching. you're making a tradeoff when you stake the plants because you are not giving the stems a chance to grow strong enough to support the plant on it's own. another solution to stretching is to repot and bury the stems so that there's only an inch or two left above ground, and then lower your lights.

Everything what he said ^^^
I've tried to repotting it works good with seedlings that young. Thats the only reall way to correct that streching and then just move your lights down closer and get some side lighting when they get some more leaf sets. Your still a little young for nutes....me personally I don't start nutes till about the 2-3 week mark. I would just replant them lower and move my lights down and you should be good man.
