its so damn confusing and frustrating!!! how do people actually prefer MAC over PC?

ive been trying to get on my potfarm all damn day and it wont load. i had a similar problem on my home computer and it was easily fixed by upgrading flashplayer. im trying to upgrade this stupid machine and its telling me i need an administrators name and password. ive contacted the owner of this infernal machine and shes an old lady who dosnt know shit about computers, not to mention this thing was set up a year ago, so she is allowed to forget. i found a notebook with all sorts of names and passwords but no combination will let me upgrade the flashplayer!!!! argh i hate this thing! if it were mine id throw it down the mountain im staying at!!!

if anyone on RIU is a mac wizzard and knows a way i can get around this, id be more than happy to dish out some potent rep

I had a few mac school computers awhile ago.I just removed the old accounts by typing in commands on the bootup screen.
The commands made a new administrator account so you could just delete the old ones.Search google for them.

plus this one is slow ass hell; it makes my moms computer look like a kenyan in the boston marathon

sorry to hear. no whizz myself but i love my wife's mac over my pc any day....but not every pc or mac is the same, sounds like you have an exception. i might look for a local non-apple affiliated mac shop, they will know how to fix it. or hopefully someone here can save you the time

i got a mac in my studio its good for recording music but thats the only thing i use it for other then that i cant stand mac good luck trying to fix that

hey kaleo,

i sell software and usually when people call to complain that it doesnt work on MAC, the best advise to give is, you houldnt have bought a fucing mac in the first instance.

sell that shit n buy a real machine bro

KaleoXxX: What mac is it? If this was a PC and you were unable to get in, would you not just wipe it and re-install the operating system?
Assuming it's a fairly new machine and not 10 years old; you should be able to Drop the Mac OS DVD in the drive and boot from it; once booted, you can adjust the accounts via means similar to windows - via a control panel.

As someone who knows nearly every variable you can add on to a DOS string; being a PC guy since I was like 12 (late 30's now) I cannot imagine a PC user not being able to manage a recent Intel (within the last 5 years) Mac with ease.

really? or is this just a joke.. ?

po po forces the world over are recruiting MAC specialist as apparently the peado rings out there use them as they are harder to trace. not sayin your into that sort of thing kaleo

I wonder why that is , ive always believed its the modem/IP address from the ISP provider thats traceable rather than the computer itself.

Ive noticed though in the commision of any crime its the computer johnny law takes away first,usually plenty of evidence on it.Im thinking its easier to find this evidence on a PC than a Mac perhaps , maybe the Mac is better protected from hacking and unauthorised access.

more likely the case probably the security thing they ( whomever they are ) always used to say the MAC was more ecure as fewer peeps wrote virii for them but that could all be balls!

i heard that peodos use software on pc's so that if they try to track it the i.p address keeps changing, also, i hate fucking macs, had a macbook to make beats, paid 2000 and all the thing did was constantly piss me off, i prefer my p.c, at least i can play games on it.

That sucks dude. I hate macs, they dont seem very straightforward to me with all the shit popping up depending where you go on a window. Not to mention the backwards ass ways you have to do things.

I'm lovin Windows 7. Very small, runs smooth, does everything you need, and has some new features to help productivity.

You know how when you turn the computer on right?lol
I found a set of commands to put in on google,(kind of like putting a computer in safe mode by pressing certain buttons)
I pressed these certain buttons on the macs startup and it created a new administrator account so you could just delete the old one.

What kind is it and what os does it have?
You could probably also upgrade the os by downloading a new one from a torrent and upgrading it.
