Another option being selling a pre-mixed box of amendments, which when added to commonly available soil and baked for 3 months would result in supersoil. Might be easier to get it off the ground that way.

I almost agree, having good results with a premixed batch from a local nursery - also organic

I have both - a pre made version for the local nursery & and a batch I made from scratch I have cooking in the yard for my new plants now I have not used yet

The premade version I mixed up with Roots soil so it was within the entire batch of soil vs Sub using the bottom 1/2 or so of the container that is filled with Super Soil, I had good result with the version I got from the nursery and I will record my findings with the real deal on my next round

Again using Super Soil vs feeding nutrition via bottles to your plants is a thing of the past

Yo Subcool....I grabbed 24 packs of your seeds last week while visiting friends in Norcal. However, I currently have my hands full with about 12 strains from clone and it will be a year or two before I start popping your beans. How should I store them? Currently they are in qt mason jars in the vegetable crispier of my fridge.

Also, if I am not mistaken you are using (1) 1000 watter per 6' x 6' area. Since you are a legal grower within your legal limits why not crank up the wattage to say 62 watts a square foot or (1) 1000 watter per 4' x 4' area? Much respect from the deep south!

I transplant into the 7 gallon pots into super soil and veg for 60 then bud for 60 same soil same pot.

Thanks for all the excellent info, and a great thread.

Once my clones are well rooted, I've always veged them in 1 gal pots, then transplanted into 5 gal pots right before flowering. I read that veging in small containers (1 gal) first, encourages a larger more robust root mass, as opposed to going straight into a large containers (5-7 gal) where the roots may just go straight for the bottom and not spread out as much. Is it your experience that it doesn't make a difference either way?

Also, I know you veg for 2 months, if I'm only veging for 3-4 weeks, are 5 gal pots large enough to finish in, or would you still recommend 7 gal?

It makes a huge diff if your transplanting just before you but then the plant is diverting energy into making a root mass not a bud mass.
This is a common mistake due to room constraints. I want my plants to root at least 3 weeks before budding.
I already did recommend 7 gallons about 20000000 times

I keep beans in a dark cabinet and they will last for 5 years that way

I think 1k over 4x4 is a waste of light simple and I am not a cash cropper and never run out of meds

So sorry to hear that but you really need to follow what he says and does when making up the Super Soil or you will find your self with these kind of results, flushing will get rid of any excess build up in the soil

The only thing you can really do is feed with a bloom guano tea or top dress with Peace of Mind bloom or the equivelant and deal with the extra nitrogen. If you flush your going to waste all the living organisms in your soil which you spent so much time building up.

Thanks for the insight man its most appreciated. A week ago I started watereing with Budswel from the Guano Co and Im thinking of adding a bit of Botanicare Pure Bloom Pro. Im hoping that this will do the trick.

If you have an 8 week flowering strain, then by the time the changes you made take effect, it will almost be the end of flower. I would say just keep going as normal, and note what happens -- good and bad. This way you have a constant to work with instead of reacting with an even more unbalanced feeding in addition to the supersoil, and not knowing what could happen or why. It may not even turn out that bad, especially if you can still get a fade instead of overfeeding. You can make changes next grow. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks guys! The great thing about this supersoil is how trouble-free and easy it is, but you have to maintain a "hands-off" approach and let it work its magic, otherwise you can do too much. I love this supersoil!

170 is not that bad. How many gallons will this make? Or how many 4 gallon pots?

And when it says add water and then cook in the sun do you meen shouvel the mixed supersoil into plastic trash cans then add water? How much water....just to moisten it I expect.

Then cook in the sun.....do you meen cook the trash cans full of soil in the sun?

I did read through the thread and searched for sun and bake in the sun and could not seem to make the search function work for me this am. This will be my first grow and I have the roots soil and most items availible at my local hydro store.

Do you have any thoughts on watering with an aerated compost tea like Humtea? Do you think the microherd of beneficial bacteria(s) would compliment super soil, or do you think its a waste?
