I lived in Courtland as a kid, and remember watching them build the old three corner tower. Had breakfast at Wimpy's with another denizen from Locke, this morning.

Al the Waps, that has to ring a bell. Courtland, isn't that where the Pear festival is held? I remember acres and acres of Pear trees.

Fuck ur cat look just like mine only mines a girl

nice looking grow by the way
Thanks!

My cat's a character. He's always nearby when I'm outside.

He loves rolling in dust, and if he gets stuff stuck in his fur, he'll jump up on my desk and demand brushing. The brush sits next to my mouse.

Al the Wops, man that brings back some memories. Worked for awhile at the sugar plant out in Clarksburg, always brought my fishing pole..

I broke Fuzzy to the brush by using light strokes which felt like petting. As time has passed, he apparently realized I'm trying to help him.

I also don't force the issue. I quit when he "tells" me to.(He bats at the brush.)View attachment 1017273

LOL!

I worked there in '69-'71 and again in the late 70's. Sample Hop, and later equipment operator.
Was there in the mid 70s, just 2 seasons. Worked all over but I really liked being outside in the flumes, beat the hell out of the warehouse stacking bags and getting sugar dust in every crack.. rash central..lol

I understand.

I only mention him because of an incident that still makes me laugh when I think of it. Percy was one of the biggest, strongest men I've ever known(a solid 6'4" and 240#).

He and I were walking into a warehouse one morning when we noticed a strange track left in the sugar on the floor. we followed it for several hundred feet into another warehouse, where we found an 18" garter snake making his way across the floor. I reached down and picked it up, and turned to show the snake to Percy...

Who was gone.

I followed his tracks, eventually spotting him outside, through the warehouse door, standing across the street.

He refused to reenter the warehouse until he'd watched me carry the young snake far away from his path back to work.

I'm a country boy, and have handled wild critters all my life. I had no idea that someone could be subject to such unreasoned fear.
