This is my first grow thread and my first time to grow a clone outdoors. I have one Indica plant on my deck that I have started LST on to keep it very low. Three weeks ago it was transplanted and looks very healthy. I'm using wire coat hangers with a hook to hold the main stem and now some branches down. It looks like it is really going to fill up with budding sites. This picture is from today and I circled eighteen sites already. I am using MG because I don't know any better. Any help will be appreciated. I used MG potting soil also and water daily.

Looking very good!

A couple things:

If you intend to transplant her, hold off on LST. When you transplant, you can set the root ball at a steep angle, which will save a lot of time on LST. Once you try it, you'll see what I mean.

If not, lose the basket and work toward balancing the plant, training branches toward the bare side of the pot.

If you let each branch grow about a foot before tying it down, you'll find training can be easier.

I only mention getting rid of the basket because I don't think it will be possible to keep the plant below its rim.

I thought it might be better to remove it, and LST as close to pot rim level, as possible.

Thanks for the feedback. I like being able to learn from experts. So my plan was to stay in this pot and LST it close to the rim of the pot as VG said. The basket has no bottom and is flexible so it can be lifted off if need be. I have just now started the turn to go around the circumference of the pot and I'm hoping to keep it below the top of the basket. I have a round wire plant support also and I adjusted the legs so it will stand one inch above the basket if the growth starts getting out of control. Later.

I think you're underestimating how much your plant will grow between now, and October.

Raised the basket to give another 5 inches to the top for growth and concealment. Will add some hanging baskets on the deck today.

Getting bushy now and seems to handle the LST fine so far.

I love the flag flying in the first photo. Just goes to show that us cannabis connoisseurs are as nationalistic as any moral authoritarian. Most of us just don't believe in imposing our lifestyle on others through legislative fiat.

Looking good. How old is it when this pic was taken? Is she flowering?

I recieved the clone on June 16th and I guess it was a month old by then. So it is about 70 days old and not ready to flower yet. Not sure when Mother Nature will do that, but I'm going to be very patient. I'm wondering about putting it into a larger pot.

I didn't wonder very long. Today I transplanted her to a pot double the size. Surely she is stressed but I hope to have some good pictures in a couple days. The entire rootball stayed intact and I watered it in the new MG potting soil.

How can you tell? I'm new at this but was given a clone and told it was f13 indica.

Leafs are way ti skinny to be indica..Nice way to grow a plant in Prefect Neighborhood USA
