If you want to even up the canopy, you might try some things I use.
LST- Leaning the taller branches, underneath the screen, and train individual shoots into separate holes in the screen, offering even spacing.
Supercropping- This involves pinching the taller shoots, just above the screen, and bending them horizontally. I often use wire hooks to hold them in place.
FIMing- I sometimes FIM to slow vertical growth while filling in a lightly branching strain. FIMing your taller shoots would be an effective way to level the canopy.
Spread the canopy horizontally- Lean branches away from the main stalk, or plant center. More area = more light = more buds.
Look at your plants at noon- See if any sunlight is reaching the ground, underneath. Train branches, accordingly.
