I finally got two seeds to germinate and both have broken the soil the problem is one of them lost the seed and is just a stem it still keeps growing but will it survive. I made no contact with the plant this happened while it was breaking through the soil. Is there anything I can do to help it along.

It's is natural for the shell of the seed to fall off when the seedling breaks the surface, nothing to worry about it's completely normal...just be sure to water it enough, not too much, but just enough...and provide her with good lighting...

Thanks I know that's normal but when the seed falls off usually there are small leaves developing. There is nothing but a stumpy end no fatter than the rest of the stem. The other plant is developing its leaves inside the seed and starting to push it off.

Pic would help...But all I can tell you for the moment, is to treat is as you do the other sprout, it will most likely bounce back, in a few days and start to look like it should...

Hey man if it doesn't have leafs it will eventually dry up and die. I hate to be the one to tell you man. Without solar panels it wont be able to have the power needed to grow new leafs.

maybe like you said, its been cut by the crisp soil. but topping plants isnt bad,so if it lives then take care of it..

Either one of us can be right, but without a picture for proper reference...we can only assume...

Naw nigga if it don't have leafs it wont have the energy to build new leaves and develop how it should. If it don't have leafs it will eventually die...

Possibly, I went back and thoroughly read his post...it seems that he may have broken off the main cotyledons...leaving him just a stem...If this is the case, that thing is a goner...

Someone skipped meds that day... There isn't a way for a plant to shoot out new leafs unless it has a cotyledon to start the process...

Ok it was the cotyledon that snapped off it kept growing but the tip is brown its as tall as the other one but no real leafs developing. I'm amazed it's still alive.
