There are many names for everything... Lots of cool different "Percolators", check them all out. Just get what you like to use and look at. If you don't have a bong with one at the moment... Then any one of them is an upgrade. I like the "arm" style tree percolators, but haven't been able to tell a difference between any of them as far as smoke "quality". The quality of the bud will make more a difference then anything. :leaf:


Forgot to add if you look near the mouth of my new bong you can kinda see the dimples right above the percolator... That's the "ice catcher". Just further cools the smoke.
 
if you really want to get top of the line in functionality check out the brands Toro or Sovereignty , those are killer, the average price for those is about $600

I know it is called a "breaker" but not many people know it by that name and any shop you go into will know what glass on glass is. I've been in a shop that had no idea what an "ash catcher" is. the slits are the diffusers, i know this and i do believe from my post he knows what it is as well... They do make diffused sownstems with holes instead of the slits. but they have seem to phase those out for some reason.

I did add "in my opinion" about the percolators. As far as smoothness of the hit I can't notice a difference. I do know my bong has a tree percolator, don't get how I have it wrong??? Or was that only pertaining to my opinion to the percolators???

"Whodat" If you've got some money to spend... Like $700ish then a nice Toro or an Illadelph glycerin bong. Both with an ash catcher. I like ash catchers, cuts down on cleaning time... :leaf:
 
Kylen, it's all good "Whodat" is a cool dude. He wont mind as long as we give him useful information out of it. So we will just have to keep it geared towards soild knowledge for all. :leaf:
 
If Im gonna spend some $$$$ like that on a smoking device should I go with a vape??? I really do enjoy a monster hit of smoke that knocks me on my ass every now and then though....

o ya for sure, ive never tried glycerin but it doesn't seem worth it, i have an ice catcher and i prefer no ice to ice, its easier and IMO hits better, and putting half of your tube, the glycerin part, in the freezer all the time increases breakage a tremendous amount, ya ive only tried a vape a few times, i think i like bongs more just because it seems more like actual smoke, i just couldn't see myself having a fat session with a vape, but to each his own
 
I LOVE my Volcano!!! It is just simply an amazing invention for smoking. Nothing beats filling a bag full of "Lemon G" vape first thing in the morning. But, I still use a bong just about everyday.

I bought an expensive vaporizer and a decent bong. Makes sense to me, but I think I'd still dump $700+ on a sick bong if I could justify that on such a cheap amount of glass.

Most bongs are made out of $20-$45 worth of glass. It's the name and craftsmanship you pay for. That's the part I can't seem to get past...

thats a sick bub dude, its just heady, what we're talking about is just scientific pieces, there are two categories of glass, scientific, heady, or both
 
ya the most i have dropped on a bong is 300, but i have been saving up to get a sick one, i am at $350, lol, i broke that one sadly it was an inline w/ 8 arm tree, boy do i miss her...

Yeh I have a friend in New Orleans who is a sick glass worker and I went to a couple of his demoes and just the cost of utilities to operate a decent size shop is extremely crazy. I have much respect for glass workers. Shit then the color for glass is very $$$$$$.

ya, my friend kinda did, he set up a board on a windy day, and the ash catcher got clogged so we went to unclog it, and when we came back it was just sitting there smashed on the ground, but it was a good 3 weeks!

That's a bummer. Sorry about your loss... I thankfully have never broke any of my pieces. To OCD about all of I think. I am knocking on wood though...

where did the strain come from? curious as im looking into "purple kush" for my next round.
