Say Doc111, I see your signature. Just what are you doing as a "good Man"?I'm not in Cali so it doesn't make much difference but if I was I would be voting yes. We've gotta start somewhere.
It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it!Say Doc111, I see your signature. Just what are you doing as a "good Man"?
It doesn't actually say someone 18-20 can't smoke. It just says someone over 21 can't knowingly sell/give them cannabis.I see some issues with it (haven't read all of it yet though).
-"21 years of age or older" - I feel that it should be 18. If you can be drafted to fight for this country, you should be allowed to smoke a doob.
You can be arrested for that now. There is no additional specific penalty listed.-"Smoking while minors are present"- That could mean in the home as well. Is a person to be arrested for smoking around their children? That would be invasive.
I totally agree. I think it's less dangerous than texting while driving but as or slightly more dangerous than talking on the phone while driving. So in my opinion the penalty for driving under the influence of cannabis should be somewhere between the penalty for texting while driving and talking on the phone. But it's certainly not as dangerous as driving under the influence of alcohol.-"Maintains current prohibition against driving impaired"- Marijuana also does not have the same effects as alcohol when driving. It is my opinion that driving under the influence of anything is not a good idea and places undue risk on oneself and others and should be penalized. However, I feel that marijuana must be dealt with in a less severe degree than alcohol as it is not as harmful. I believe that the act of driving while under the influence of marijuana itself should not be a criminal act, but should carry additional penalty for traffic violations (IOW your 150.00 "failure to yield" ticket is now 200.00 because you're bloodshot-eyed, stoned as a mofo, obviously cognitively impaired.).

My bad. Well even with that the law still allows for people 18-20 to grow their own with 215 paperwork. Nothing really changes for 18-20 year olds in terms of recreational use I guess.
Proposition 19: The Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010
Title and Summary:
Changes California Law to Legalize Marijuana and Allow It to Be Regulated and Taxed. Initiative Statute.
Allows people 21 years old or older to possess, cultivate, or transport marijuana for personal use...............
