thank you for helping but I got 40lb " 1 cu ft " BAG so how much perlite should i add. Should i just laying it all out on a tarp and then just eyeball ? How thin should i lay it out on the tarp ?Don't make something simple into something complicated - just eyeball about a third of the volume for perlite and go from there. The mix ratios of ingredients are not that precise anyway.
Fill your 3 gallon a lil less than one third, dump and mix in.
Yea, just lay it all out on a tarp and mix together with a shovel if you plan on using all of the dirt right away.thank you for helping but I got 40lb " 1 cu ft " BAG so how much perlite should i add. Should i just laying it all out on a tarp and then just eyeball ? How thin should i lay it out on the tarp ?
Thank You
It may not be rocket science, but put like that and i'm lost, what is a quartCome on people, this ain't Rocket Science!
3 gallons = 12 quarts. 30% of 12 quarts = 3.6 quarts (3.5 quarts is close enough). So, for each bag allow 8.5 quarts of soil mix and 3.5 quarts of Perlite.
So, you have no problem with "Gallons" - but you don't know what a quart is? Okay? A "Quart" is 32 fluid ounces, or a quarter of a gallon, or 946 millileters. It's also 2 pints, if that helps! It may not be rocket science, but put like that and i'm lost, what is a quart
that would be 25% SIRSimplest formula= 3 cups of any size, 1 cup of the same size, 3 cups of any size, 1 cup of the same size, repeat as needed...........77% (2/3rds) of one item and 33% (1/3%) of the other
