And I suppose you subscribe to all the underground trade magazines as well? After all, High Times is for newbs. That doesn't mean it's test results are inaccurate on LED's. And if you truly are the elitist grower you claim, certainly you have run across someone else that has used or tried LEDs? There is a lot of crap out there, cheap shit to make a buck that doesn't hit the needed wavelengths. Spend a few minutes looking up LED grows on here and in Google. They have made huge improvements. Some people swear that LEDs are now better vegers. I've also seen yields that out performed the standard HID's, watt for watt.

No I dont subscribe to any mags.. And yes Ive seen LED grows over 10 yrs ago but nothing yet that can put off a decent harvest of bud... maybe within the next 10 yrs we may see somthing when LED technolgy is better.. as of right now its a waste of time more so then growing in a round structure...

10 years ago is a long time. Viable grows with LED technology is here today. Sub the thread in my sig and ride along offering criticisms or whatever and see what they can do. I only spent about $800 on my side panels and overheads, yet I'll reap that back in power bill savings before THIS year is out compared with using a 400 or 600w HID and I'll produce good bud along the way forbidding something tragic doesn't happen. (knocking on wood)

One more quick point. I don't give half a fuck about so called wasted space outside the tent. My concern is what's happening inside the tent.

I dont know where you live but it cost me about $18 a month with a single 400w HPS, CMH or MH.. wich yeilds me 10-15oz for a single plant... when LED's can do that I will look into them.. but like I said thats still a ways off.. anyway good luck with your grow I will follow it just for the hell of it.. but I think we should both stop shitting this guys thread up and let him try somthing new...

The only person that has a problem with growing in a cylindrical area is that guy who seems to be getting bullied at work/school and has a hater attitude on the internet to make up for his real life problems, Serapisshispants. I guess if it makes him feel better about himself then let him hate. Meanwhile the rest of the world moves on happily...

Sorry buddy, you are 100% completely wrong here .... if you have not seen all the proof out there then I suggest you google " Hydro Grow LED vs" ... many side by side grows by third party growers which prove otherwise.

and they are getting more efficient by the day. I suggest that you keep an eye on it .... well worth the overall savings and equal/better growth

Sure maybe if you have the money to buy a couple hundred $10 LED's.. thats still out of the park for 99% of the growers.. when those LED's come down in price it will be feesable.. as of right now HPS and MH are still more cost efficient for me anyway..

Yes I avg 10-15 oz per plant with a single 400w .. Keep in mind the most I have ever yeiled was 15oz.. this was with a Sensi Power Plant (pure sativa) heavy yeilder but long grow period.. My last harvest was Blue mystic that yeilded 10oz dry... And yes without Hydro and Scrog I would not come close to them yeilds.. My avg Vege period is 27-30 days from seed..

Reflective material has proven to increase yields. I purchased a 10' x 25' for only $24 and that included free shipping. 6 mils thick..... You can't beat it. If you do nothing, your plants are missing out on a lot of light Mr. President.....

I'm an inventor. I tend to gravitate towards new ideas, and since I plan on experimenting with the round grow room builds anyway I figure I might as well try things that haven't been tried. This Orca stuff and the L.E.D. lights I find fascinating. Both, however, are prohibitively expensive.

I don't mean it as a stab at you but I think to dismiss anything new without any personal experience.........well, you might reconsider or something. I'm searching for the right words and not finding them. At this point I'm not willing to write off anything new and untried. Especially in light of all the seemingly contradictory "evidence". Look at the L.E.D. light arguments for instance. There is no denying some of spectacular results people have had with these things.

Three, maybe six months down the road I may be in a better financial situation and I'll be able to get some first hand experience with these new technologies. For now I'll stick with what I know from past experience because I can afford it, and it's always worked for me before.

Thanks for contributing in a positive manner. Some of the shit these assholes come up with would be beyond belief if I hadn't seen and heard it all a thousand times before.

The orca is more expensive but light tight and 11 mil. Sounds tough. I'm attempting to secure a small sample.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for trying new things but when it comes with a huge price tag I'm a little more hesitant to waste money on it. I can get a 10' x 50' sheet of white poly for less than 50 bucks. That stuff you are talking about is 2x more expensive for practically the same thing just less square feet. Just my opinion.
