Young Plant Problems, Please Help!!! (PICS INCLUDED)

That is not one of the same plants in the first post. I am guessing all 4 pics are of your friends plant. How about some pics of the plants in the first post.
 
To me it looks like Heat Stress probably due to over amt of time in the sun remember that the temp in direct sun is? F'n hot Especially for a seedling! They are sensitive and need to get use to the sunlight slowly. I would say only a few hrs a day and gradually move up...( Hardening )off is the term. Check the temp in the direct sun...what is the temp? And if you are over watering then you are doing more harm than good...just my opinion based on a pic. Hope that this info may have helped and remember the more you know about Mj the better....READ everything that you possibly can and good luck.

how far should it be from the bulbs??? this plant is like 3-4 weeks old...it had trouble if u seen in begging of post and went threw two transplants
 
Depending on the power you want it several inches away. Higher power > further away. It should be just past the point where the radiating heat falls on the leaves. If you can try to reflect some of the light not above the plant over to the plant at least hiding its sides.
 
thats the power for one bulb.....i have two.............what do u think....i put my hand up there and its not that hot at all,, i also have a fan blowing on it

Put it as close as you can (give an inch or so of breathing room) such that the temp doesn't go over 80f.
 
its about 2.5 or so inches........its not hot up there at all at least usuing the back of my hand to judge...il get a thermometer..........................how long do you think i can use these bulbs for this
 
as a temp solution only or for germinating. its not going to provide the full source of light that the plants will begin needing. i wouldn't push a week with it.
 
Yea i am putting in the sun during day, if sun is out of course, then at night back under the lights........4 seeds germinated so far in 24hrs!!! More to come

While that light setup work good for the seedlings when i first plant the seed?

plants do require some hours of darkness for repair/rest, but it wont significantly harm them doing 24/7. i do 18/6 all the way, but 24/7 for a few days after doing a transplant. if however the plant is not in a state to be able to utilize that much light, you wont see too much more happening.

yeah that light setup will work just fine for the seedlings. after they start to get a few nodes/real leaves your going to want to upgrade to a big boy light or suffer stunted/slow growth. this is also the point where you would want to transplant into ~3gal pots.

Or do like me and just plant your seedlings in garbage cans /w holes in the bottom once they get their third node :D
 
Hey dude sorry I couldn't help you sooner. I live in Michigan which is somewhere in the Northeast. If it was as hot and humid where you are as it was where I am NO MARIJUANA PLANT WOULD SURVIVE. The excessive humidity and heat will kill them. They prefer temps under MAXIMUM 80 degrees all day long. Also they need a constant humidity levels below 80 percent. The Northeast has been pushing 95 to 100 percent humidity. These are conditions in which almost no marijuana plant can survive much less recover or thrive.

Keep working on a grow room, you can take the plants outside but only in the correct conditions. Perhaps the fall or when the temps drop. Keep your fluorescent tubes about 7 inches from the tops of the plant. You will have to replace your bulbs with something the plants can use. They sell Sunshine 5000K and Daylight 6500K at any Lowes or Home Depot that will fit your ballast. Just measure the pins on the bulbs and then go pick them out. Your plants will not survive under cool white light. Also try to add four more bulbs if you can. Pick up another couple lights if you can or add CFL (compact fluorescent lights) to your setup.

Try to get the funds to purchase a Metal Hallide or High Pressure Sodium grow lamp. Fluorescent lights will work fine for your plants as long as you GET ENOUGH and you CAN'T HAVE TOO MANY. Just don't expect a decent harvest or a quick harvest. It will take a long time and produce mediocre results. As for growing outside you need air conditioning or to move to a weed friendly climate. Like the Kush Mountains in India. Good luck and happy growing.
