hahahah thats gotta suck. Yer i saw in another thread some guy topped in flower and for 5 or so pages the responses were more or less along the lines of " you fucking ass clown!!"

Well your room looks pretty big so just up the lights like you said? I mean if all else fails....i guess i can take them off your hands? :P

nice, looks like your gonna get alot fom her! what's this H&G stuff you speak of?

EDIT: Hey guys i need some help, im gonna be buying a 400w hps kit this week, im wondering does this already come as a plug in or do i need to wire it up to an extension cord? the kit im buying includes.. the lamp (400w), Reflector, Lamp holder and ballast.

Also one more thing, http://www.simplyhydroponics.com.au/ in the Nutrients & Additives section, im really stuck on which nutes will be the best, are there any nutes in that range that you guys are using? for veg and bloom, cheers!

MasterHemp u just plug the ballast straight into your wall no wiring needed, im not sure how much space u have or what your heat is like but i would suggest getting a 600 instead of a 400 its only like an extra 20bucks and u will kick yourself later if u dont lol.imo u cant beat canna nutes.

Ok awesome thats what i was hoping for! I'll give those canna nutes a go aswell
hmm if the 600 isn't much more then the 400 then i will look into that for sure
i've got a much bigger space to work with now, i don't know the measurements atm, but i can fit 6 decent sized plants in there easily
im confident i can keep the heat down, ill be purchasing the fans, ducting and everything else i need when i go to pick up the light

wt do u guys rkn is the best time to feed?? at the start of the day or just before lights out???

i was readin this guide thing i dloaded and it rkns most growth occurs during a plants dark period and it got me thinking. now i know that statement is a debate in itself but wat do u rkn about feeding??? or when do u do it???

You guys got any quick and easy ways to eat the butter? I know there are threads out there but most of them talk about cookies, brownies, etc. Any as simple as: crush up weet bix add butter, fridge and done?

Need some for class tomorrow lol

im new to this but from what ive read u could germinate them anytime if they going outside just keep em under a fluro until the long days start then move em outside otherwise i think its around mid september for outside

Top or bottom of NSW closer to the QLD border mid sept is when daylight hours go over 12 plant now and keep them under a dual fluoro batten on 24hrs for the next 4 weeks in a cupboard and get a headstart on the season.

Also plants will flower from march-mid sept and if your in the top part of nsw winters are mild enough that you can get 2 harvests in one mid sept another in may after cutting septs harvest that'll be ready by mid august early sept. Thats what I'm doing a few more weeks and they'll be ready, no where near as big as the summer crop but still justifiably large enough.

I could just be outta place saying this but to me it doesnt sound very wise to annouce places that get into Aus? All you need is a clever coppa to see that and make future purchases hard. As i said might be talking shit here but just mho.

Im assuming you mean for outdoor? If so yer the others answered it fairly well. If you mean indoors anytime really. I got mine smack bang middle of winter and they worked. Just make sure you keep heat up to them. Also the others suggested CFL but after using them for my veg then switching to HPS i could not disagree with CFL more!! I know im quite noob but i would highly recomend at least getting a decent light setup as for me at least that made a MASSIVE difference. It doesnt seem worth going to all the hassel of growing with all the risks and what not just to skimp on the basics. Yes im rambling a bit but this all said i guess if your using JUST for germinating and a few weeks CFL would work i guess. A fairly experienced mate told me i wouldnt wanna really veg with CFL for more than 2-3 weeks.
