This forum is a piece of shit. It took me about 15 minutes to even get into this to make a thread. I want to stick around because this community is so huge making the pool of resources enormous, but I also dont want to spend 90%+ of the time constantly refreshing to get a page to display. Its cumbersome, and im not getting all the info I need because of it. These problems have been going on for a month now and have actually gotten worse as time went on. So rather than not getting what I need, does anyone know of another forum that also has good resources?

I am on other forums but listen RollItUp rocks and I do not have problems with lag. This site is pretty damn fast for me, wonder why it is slow for you?

Well, there are many of other forums out there but they all experience these problems from time to time. I think they've been doing a bunch of upgrades lately and they are working the glitches out. Be patient my friend. We are dealing with computers here and we all know how that can be.:cuss: It seems like they have gotten a lot of the problems worked out already. :mrgreen:

I don't get lag on RIU but it is down at least once a day, and not for just a few minutes. It is very very annoying and it doesn't seem to be getting much better, so I feel the pain of the OP. RIU has the best and biggest community, but you could try GrassCity.

this site grows so fast that we are constantly overloading the server. another one is once again being added. when this happens there will be a few glitches. i saw a few last week, but everything has been fine for me for several days now.

maybe it's your dial-up. ;)

I use 4 different computers at 2 different addresses. The problem is 100% on rollitups end. It's not that its slow, its that it doesnt load. I get either just a gray page, or I get the green background of the banner up top and the rest is gray. This happens about 90% of the time, regardless of what computer/location I use. It did when I clicked the link from my email to get back to this thread. It makes the process of getting info slow because I have to load the forum page 10-15 times before it actually loads like its supposed to, then I go through the same process with every single thread I enter. When it does load properly the speed is not an issue.

I agree that the site rocks, technical issues aside. I understand there will be glitches here and there, and that during upgrades there will be even more, perhaps severe ones. But this has been going on for about a month now. They need to fire whoever was responsible for doing the upgrades and hire someone else to get it done properly.

how could it be at this end if it is only happening to you? i see nothing that you describe on my end? anyone else seeing this? :neutral:

Maybe if the server is being overloaded on a constant basis the administrator should anticipate this and add new servers BEFORE we all experience down time.

How could it happen to all my computers? Maybe if all my computers were on the same network I would concede its possible. I have 3 computers at my house, not a single problem with any of them or the internet except rollitup.org. I post on other forums (non mj related) as well with no issues. I also use a separate computer, in a separate building, with a separate internet connection that has the EXACT SAME problems in my work place. I'm inclined to believe the problem is not simultaneously on all my ends. Although this computer is only a couple miles from my house, so perhaps something is wrong with the infrastructure in my local area? I still think its far more likely that rollitup is having problems rather than every combination of computer/internet/physical location that I have simultaneously and repeatedly having the problem. Especially when i've heard multiple other people complain about it. Even one in this thread.

I don't think the site owes me anything, but regardless its frustrating to deal with. I'm not going to throw a temper tantrum, but I also don't want to sit in my basement hitting refresh over and over and over to get into a forum to hit refresh over and over and over to find a solution to my problem.
